摘要： The compact high-ratio speed reducer without play consists of an external housing in which a first shaft is rotatingly arranged, carrying a planetary element on which a first gear is loosely supported, this gear having two toothings, one of which is in engagement with a crown wheel integral with the external housing and coaxial with the first shaft, and the second is in engagement with a further gear, integral with a second shaft supported within the external housing and coaxial with the first shaft. The gear toothings are urged together to eliminate possible play between the toothings in mutual engagement.

摘要： A printing device in a typewriter including a rocker bracket turned in a direction of printing by a cam rotated when a key is pressed, a type head vertically movable and rotatably supported by the rocker bracket, a vertically movable pulley and rotatable pulley which are mounted on the bracket which are connected to a letter selecting mechanism and rotated by a predetermined value in accordance with a letter selected by the key, a printing arm for pivotally supporting a trigger detachably engageable with the rocker bracket and abutting against and being rotated by the cam to turn the rocker bracket, vertical direction selecting means for moving to a predetermined position in accordance with a value of rotation of the vertically movable pulley, rotational direction selecting means provided on the rotatable pulley and a printing pressure control member for being movable in accordance with the movements of the vertical directional selecting means and the rotational direction selecting means and having at least two abutting portions within a moving path of the trigger, whereby the position of the printing pressure control member is set by the respective selecting means and the trigger is caused to impinge on a portion selected out of the abutting portions, so that a position where the rocker bracket is to be released can be adjusted to thereby enable adjustment of the printing pressure.

A device for resetting the rest positions of the pins is also provided for the cancellation of the impression.

摘要： The present invention relates to a tab setting device for stopping a carriage of a typewriter at a desired position. This tab setting device includes an unusual-shape hole formed in a frame of the typewriter in which a tab bracket can rock. In this unusual-shape hole, two pairs of projections for supporting the tab bracket are formed on the bottom surface, one pair of the projections serve as fulcrums for rocking of the tab bracket when a tab pin or pins are tab-set, while the other pair of the projections serve as fulcrums for rocking of the tab bracket when a tab pin or pins are cleared.

摘要： A ribbon-feed and motion-reversal device for typewriters and the like comprises an oscillating supporting plate on which a cartridge with the spools carrying the inked ribbon is placed, the supporting plate being coupled to a driving lever driven by a cam mounted on the driving shaft of the typewriter, and suitable to transmit the winding action directly to either one of the ribbon-carrying spools of the cartridge. A balance lever is driven by the ribbon at the end of its unwinding, through oscillating wings on the cartridge.

摘要： A feed roller device of a typewriter used for reliably urging a sheet of paper to be printed against a platen. In this feed roller device, a pair of feed roller assemblies are parallelly arranged in parallel to the axial line of the platen and rocking levers are provided at the central positions in the axial lines of the feed roller assemblies, respectively. Each of these two rocking levers is rockingly supported by a typewriter frame, pivotally supported at one end thereof by a connecting rod of one of the feed roller assemblies and provided at the other end thereof with a spring, which urges the feed roller assembly against the platen by the urging force thereof. Consequently, only two springs are used, so that the adjustment of the feed roller assemblies urging the platen in urging force can be facilitated.
