    摘要: A lance for feeding an additive wire into a quantity of molten metal below the surface of the molten metal. The lance has an inlet end which receives additive wire and an outlet end which dispenses the additive wire. The lance has an exterior sleeve of cardboard which has an inner surface. A portion of the inner surface of the exterior sleeve contacts an interior sleeve made of a refractory material. At the inlet end of the lance is a cardboard inlet outer sleeve and a cardboard inlet inner sleeve inside of the outer sleeve. The lance can have a coupling for fitting to a wire feeding apparatus.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a discrete optical correlation system. One embodiment of the present invention includes a portable electrical illumination system and an optically opaque hollow module, configured to releasably couple to the portable electrical illumination system in a manner such that when the portable electrical illumination system is activated, the system produces a discrete correlated or focused illumination output. The portable electrical illumination system further includes a light emitting diode, a power source, a switch, and a coupling mechanism. The optically opaque hollow module further includes at least two openings, a hollow internal region, an optically opaque outer surface, and a coupling mechanism disposed on at least one of the at least two openings. A fourth embodiment relates creating an adjustable aperture between two optically opaque sleeves sliding over an optically transparent module coupled to the portable electrical illumination system.

    摘要: The present invention relates to an illuminated document display system. One embodiment of the present invention relates to a portable document display case configured to house at least one document for discrete illuminated visual viewing. The display case further includes an illumination system, a document protection system, and a storage system. The illumination system is configured to house an illumination device in a manner that facilitates visually receiving information from a document while minimizing external non-document light transmission. The document protection system provides a receptacle to protectively house a document while maintaining the ability for a user to view the document. In addition, the document protection system is configured to enable the illumination system to transmit light upon the document. The storage system enables the illumination system and document display system to be manipulated in a manner to provide for convenient storage without damaging the document. A second embodiment of the present invention relates to a method for illuminating a document in a manner to receive visual information from the document while minimizing non-document light transmission.
