摘要： A method of data forwarding during handover in a mobile communication system is provided. The mobile communication system comprising a plurality of base stations and a base station, the base station being coupled to a gateway, a telecommunication link being established between a user equipment and the base station. The method comprising: selecting a set of base station from the plurality of base stations as candidate base stations for a handover of the user equipment by the base station; selecting a first target base station for handover from the set of base stations by the base station; obtaining downlink data from a gateway and up-link data from a user equipment by the base station; forwarding the uplink and downlink data from the base station to the first target base station.

摘要： The invention relates to a handover method in a base station of a mobile communication system, the mobile communication system further comprising a plurality of base stations. A telecommunication link being established between a user equipment and the base station, the method comprises: receiving a first measurement report from the user equipment; selecting a first candidate base station using the evaluation of the signal quality from the first measurement report; initiating a first handover preparation by transmitting a first request to the first candidate base station; determining if the first handover preparation has failed; selecting a set of candidate base stations including at least some of the candidate base stations identified in the first measurement report; initiating a second handover preparation by transmitting a second handover request to at least one of the set of candidate base stations, if the first handover preparation has failed; selecting a target base station from the set of candidate base stations, if the second handover preparation has not failed; initiating the handover of the user equipment from the base station to the target base station.

摘要： In a wireless network, for example, an LTE network, the context information relating to a mobile terminal UE is transmitted to a plurality of network nodes eNB 2, 3 and 4 from a source network node, eNB 1. One of the eNB 2 is a handover target node and also reserves resources for the UE in anticipation of receiving it after handover. The other eNBs 3 and 4 do not reserve resources. In the event of radio link failure, the UE may attach to one of the designated eNBs 3 and 4 that have not reserved resources, but that do recognize the UE because they have received its context. The method reduces the likelihood of the UE needing to go via the time consuming IDLE state while only reserving resources at a handover target eNB.

摘要： In a wireless network, for example, an LTE network, the context information relating to a mobile terminal UE is transmitted to a plurality of network nodes eNB 2, 3 and 4 from a source network node, eNB 1. One of the eNB 2 is a handover target node and also reserves resources for the UE in anticipation of receiving it after handover. The other eNBs 3 and 4 do not reserve resources. In the event of radio link failure, the UE may attach to one of the designated eNBs 3 and 4 that have not reserved resources, but that do recognize the UE because they have received its context. The method reduces the likelihood of the UE needing to go via the time consuming IDLE state while only reserving resources at a handover target eNB.
