摘要: Embodiments of the present application relate generally to wireless electronics, wireless portable electronics, wireless media presentation devices, audio/video systems, and more specifically to passive or active RF proximity detection of wireless client devices in an environment that may or may not include wireless access points. A wireless client device may be forced, triggered, or configured to broadcast a wireless scan (e.g., an active WiFi scan) that includes data (e.g., packets) that may be discovered by a wireless media device (e.g., received by RF circuitry in the media device) and information from the wireless scan may be used by the wireless media device to detect presence of the wireless client device and/or its user, to establish a wireless data communications link with the wireless client device, to determine proximity of the wireless client device to the wireless media device, and for near field communication (NFC) with the wireless client device.

摘要: Interaction between wireless devices, one of which may be equipped with a directional radio (a radio with a directional antenna for directional sensing capabilities) can be used in directional peer-to-peer networking. A method can include obtaining, at a first device from a serving device, proximity information regarding a second device. The method can also include obtaining, at the first device from the serving device, direction information regarding the second device. The method can further include calculating a position of the second device with respect to the first device based on the proximity information and based on the direction information. The method can additionally include communicating with the second device based on the position.

摘要: A re-configurable RF architecture includes both a 2×2 MIMO mode and a 1×2 MIMO mode. The 2×2 MIMO mode includes a first RF chain coupled with a first dual band antenna and configured to both transmit (Tx) and receive (Rx) using two different RF protocols. The 2×2 MIMO mode also includes a second RF chain coupled with a second dual band antenna and configured to both Tx and Rx using a single RF protocol. The first RF chain may be coupled with a third antenna configured for near field proximity sensing. The RF architecture is reversibly switchable from the 2×2 MIMO mode to the 1×2 MIMO mode when near field proximity detection is required. In the 1×2 MIMO mode the Tx/Rx capabilities of the second chain using the second dual band antenna are retained and the first chain is configured for Rx only capability using the third antenna.

摘要: Methods and apparatuses are provided for facilitating gesture recognition. A method may include constructing a matrix based at least in part on an input gesture and a template gesture. The method may further include determining whether a relationship determined based at least in part on the constructed matrix satisfies a predefined threshold. In an instance in which the relationship does not satisfy the predefined threshold, the method may also include eliminating the template gesture from further consideration for recognition of the input gesture. In an instance in which the relationship satisfies the predefined threshold, the method may further include determining a rotation matrix based at least in part on the constructed matrix.

摘要: A method includes sending over the network from a source entity to a destination entity a sequence of a plurality of packets. Each packet in the sequence includes a same identifier corresponding to a network entity on the network. Sending includes modifying a property of the sequence of packets to uniquely identify the sequence of packets. The method includes receiving information indicating the identifier corresponds to the modification of the property. Another method includes examining a sequence of packets sent over a network from a source entity to a destination entity, each packet in the sequence comprising a same identifier corresponding to a network entity on the network. The method includes determining whether a property of the sequence of packets was modified when sent to uniquely identify the sequence of packets; and responsive to the determining, associating the identifier with the network identity. Apparatus and program products are also disclosed.
