摘要: An upper member of a pillar has a substantially U-shaped cross section, and includes first side walls extending substantially in a transverse direction of the vehicle at least at a lower portion, and a connecting plate at a lower end while keeping the U-shaped cross section. A lower member includes a mounting plate opposed to the connecting plate at a lower portion being lower than an upper end, and second side walls extending substantially in the transverse direction at both end portions of the mounting plate in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The connecting plate and the mounting plate are welded to each other in a state that they are in abutment with each other, and the first side walls and the second side walls are joined to each other, and the upper member and the lower member are integrally fixed to each other.

摘要: A door latch device includes a striker, a fork, a pawl lever that locks rotation of the fork, the fork having a first locking part which locks the striker when the fork is shifted from an open state though a half-grasped state to a full-grasped state and a second locking part which is locked with the pawl lever in the half-grasped state, a stopper member which restricts rotation of the pawl lever, and a sound adjusting unit that makes a first striking sound which occurs when the striker strikes the first locking part larger than a third striking sound which occurs when the pawl lever strikes the stopper member is in the full-grasped state of the fork, and that makes a second striking sound which occurs when the pawl lever strikes the second locking part larger than the third striking sound.

摘要: A vehicle body structure, includes: a pair of front side members, front ends of which are joined to both ends of a front bumper via impact absorbing portions, respectively; front-side-member upper members, which are arranged above the front side members, and front ends of which are connected to the front side members, respectively; front-side-member lower members, which are arranged below the front side members, and front ends of which are connected to the front side members, respectively; and a dash cross member, which extends in a widthwise direction of a vehicle body, and to which rear ends of the front-side-member lower members are joined. 摘要: A weatherstrip assembly mounted to a body component or a body aperture through a holder includes a weatherstrip having weatherstrip bodies. Each pair of the weatherstrip bodies cooperate to form an L-shaped or a V-shaped corner portion of the weatherstrip corresponding to an associated one of L-shaped or V-shaped corner portions of the holder. Each of two weatherstrip bodies which constitute one of the corner portions of the weatherstrip has a mounting base held between a retainer and a clip which are respectively fixed to the inner and outer faces of the mounting base and which are coupled to each other through coupling pins formed integrally with the clip and extending through the weatherstrip mounting base, each coupling pin having a distal end portion thereof press-fitted into a pin hole formed in the retainer. By engaging respective clips of the weatherstrip assembly with the holder, the weatherstrip can be efficiently mounted through the holder to the body component or the body aperture, and a deviation of the mounted weatherstrip relative to the holder can be prevented.

摘要: A body framework construction, includes: a rear seat cross member, extending in a transverse direction of a vehicle, in a rear part of a body in a lower part of a passenger compartment; a dash cross member upper, extending in the transverse direction, in a front part of the passenger compartment; and a backbone, configured into a thin, long shape having a closed cross section, and extending in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle. A front end portion of the backbone is connected to the dash cross member upper via a gusset, and a rear end portion of the backbone is joined to the rear seat cross member. The gusset is deformed more easily than the backbone relative to a force from a front.
