摘要: The systems and methods described herein can provide a protocol escalation path in response to a client system's request or in response to a triggering event. For example, the computing system can provide an indication to a client system that the client system can upgrade from a regular connection channel to an upgraded connection channel if the client system can solve a certain proof-of-work. The computing system may also receive a request from the client system to access an upgraded connection channel. The upgraded connection channel may provide more bandwidth, stability, higher priority, etc., alone or in combination, comparing to the regular connection channel.

摘要: A custom tracking system can provide functionality for operators of content sites to specify types of content delivery data to be tracked in a content delivery network. The custom tracking system can propagate operator tracking preferences to edge nodes in the content delivery network, such as delivery servers, which can track delivery data according to the preferences. The custom tracking system can use one or more tracking filters to reduce the storage burden of certain tracking requests while still providing relevant results. The custom tracking system can output results of the custom tracking for presentation to the content site operator.

摘要: An edge server of a content delivery network (CDN) can serve as a proxy for an origin server. The edge server can remove distinguishing characteristics of the origin server. As a result, an end user system may be prevented from blocking content from the origin server based on the distinguishing characteristics. Additionally or alternatively, the edge server can encrypt a portion a uniform resource locator (URL) referencing the origin server so that the clear text of the URL does not follow a recognizable pattern. The path can be decrypted by the edge server when the edge server communicates with the origin server to retrieve the content from the origin server.
