Abstract:
A printer has an ASF connection/disconnection sensor 18a as a sheet feeding device detector which detects if an ASF 60 is installed to the main printer unit 1, a roll paper holder connection sensor 38 as a roll paper holder detector which detects if a roll paper holder 40 is installed to the main printer unit 1, and a control circuit board 35 which controls operation of the main printer unit 1 according to the detection status of the ASF connection/disconnection sensor 18a and roll paper holder connection sensor 38.
Abstract:
A printer having a main printer unit 1 an image recording unit 3 and a base unit 2. The image recording unit 3 includes a carriage 25 having an ink head for discharging ink to paper and a guide shaft 26 for slidably guiding the carriage 25. The base unit 2 is disposed opposite the image recording unit 3 and supports the image recording unit 3. A paper transportation path 5 is located between the image recording unit 3 and base unit 2 for conveying paper in a paper transportation direction under the operation of paper feed means The printer has opposite sides and an opening extending from each opposite side in common alignment with the paper transportation direction for manually inserting paper of substantially any size into said paper transportation path from any side and includes a continuous paper holder which is removably attached to said printer for supplying paper continuously to said paper transportation path and a sheet feeder device (ASF 60) which is removably attached to said main printer unit for supplying a plurality of sheets in sequence to said paper transportation path when said continuous paper holder is not supplying paper.
Abstract:
A winding shaft, for use in a printer, which allows a wound recording paper to be easily removed therefrom. The winding shaft includes a shaft main body, a winding portion and a support-removing member. The winding portion, which sandwiches the shaft main body, winds the recording paper therearound. The shaft main body includes a pair of support-removing members, which respectively project from the shaft main body. The two support-removing members are respectively supported on the two side portions of the shaft main body in such a manner that they can be freely rotated about their respective support shafts. A tension-coiled spring is bridgingly disposed between the two support-removing members, so that the two support-removing members remain in standing positions when no external force is applied to them. If the recording paper is lightly rotated in a direction opposite to the winding direction of the recording paper, then the two support-removing members are brought down in the same direction due to an external force applied thereto from the innermost peripheral recording paper. As a result, the innermost peripheral recording paper is loosened, that is, is caused to float loosely from the outer peripheral surface of the shaft main body, thereby enabling the removable of the recording paper from the winding shaft.

Abstract:
A connector apparatus for receiving and ejecting a memory card which is connected to a electronic device, includes an ejection lever being able to slide on a surface of a housing plate for pulling out and disconnect the memory card from connecting pins by hooking at an edge of the memory card, and a rotating axis for enabling the ejection lever to swing on the surface of housing plate and holding the ejection lever rotatable through the housing plate by sliding contact within an internal surface of tubular projection of the lever.
Abstract:
A microscope with an automatic sweeping device which automatically sweeps a preparation, membrane filter, etc. for observing subjects, such as cells, microbes or others, existing thereon, is offered. The automatic sweeping device has the following functions: a control mechanism drives a transfer mechanism for moving a holder containing subjects according to the instructions from a control console to perform automatic sweeping by stepped or continuous movement of the holder, and at the base time a printer, memory and display are so controlled that they respectively print, store and display position and other various data. Manual operation is also possible immediately after suspension of automatic operation. Positions of subjects detected by a position detector are stored in the memory. Whenever automatic operation is restarted, the holder returns to the position where the suspension occurred, to resume sweeping operation and moves directly to a particular memorized position when a memory number is keyed in from the control console, and to a position at particular coordinates when coordinates of a position other than the memorized position are inputted from the control console.
Abstract:
A connector unit is provided which includes a housing having connection terminals in its opening, and a movable member adapted to be inserted into the opening of the housing. The movable member has cam projections each extending from one end, where the movable member is inserted into the housing, toward the other end, over a proper length. When the movable member is partially inserted into the opening of the housing, an elastic contact portion of the connection terminal is pressed by the cam projection to provide such a clearance as to allow the conductor to be inserted there.
Abstract:
An apparatus for sealing the skirt of a converter waste gas recovery system is disclosed, which includes an annular flange that is mounted about the outside surface of the converter adjacent to its mouth at a point clear outside the reach of the molten slag and metal that might spill over the rim of the converter mouth during the process of blowing. An annular sealing band is provided at the lower peripheral portion of the skirt, which runs surrounding the mouth. The annular sealing band is divided into multiple arcuate segments of a whole bandage, each pivotally disposed on a horizontal pin and connected to a separate hydraulic cylinder through its axially movable piston rod. It is so designed that the segments of the annular sealing band are individually yet simultaneously swung about their respective pins by their hydraulic cylinders into abutting contact with the external periphery of the flange providing a tight leakproof seal. In the contacted surfaces of the annular sealing band and the flange, sealing is most unlikely impaired by clumps of solidified slag and metal spilled in molten state from the converter mouth as in the skirts of conventional waste gas recovery systems.
Abstract:
A control apparatus is disclosed for an electric car having an induction motor supplied with polyphase AC power of variable frequency from a power converter so as to drive a driving wheel. This control apparatus comprises a detector for detecting the actual running speed of the electric car irrespective of whether the driving wheel causes adhesion or non-adhesion, a device for establishing a slip frequency of the induction motor, and a device for generating a frequency command based upon a signal of the actual running speed and the slip frequency, this frequency command being used to control the output frequency of the power converter.
