Abstract:
A liquid crystal dispensing apparatus determines an amount of liquid crystal remaining within a liquid crystal container. The apparatus includes a liquid crystal dispensing unit for containing liquid crystal material dispensable onto a substrate, the a liquid crystal dispensing unit including a liquid crystal container for containing the dispensable liquid crystal material and for receiving supplied gas, an upper cap secured to the liquid crystal container, a nozzle arranged at a lower portion of the liquid crystal container through which the liquid crystal material is dispensable, and a valve structure for allowing liquid crystal material contained within the liquid crystal container to enter the nozzle via a pressure from the supplied gas; and a weight measuring unit coupled to the liquid crystal dispensing unit for determining a weight of an amount of liquid crystal material remaining within the liquid crystal dispensing unit, wherein the weight measuring unit installed at the lower surface of the upper cap.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a system for fabricating a liquid crystal display using liquid crystal dropping and a method of fabricating a liquid crystal display using the same. The present invention includes a liquid crystal forming line dropping liquid crystals on the first substrate, a sealant forming line forming the sealant on the second substrate, and a bonding and hardening line bonding the two substrates to each other and hardening the sealant, printing a sealant, bonding the substrates each other, and hardening the sealant and an inspection process line of cutting the bonded substrates into panel units and grinding and inspecting the unit panels. And, the GAP process line includes And, the present invention includes the processes of dropping LC on a first substrate using a dispenser, forming a main UV hardening sealant on a second substrate, bonding the first and second substrates to each other in a vacuum state, UV-hardening the main UV hardening sealant, cutting the bonded substrates into cell units, grinding the cut substrates, and inspecting the grinded substrates finally.
Abstract:
A liquid crystal dispensing apparatus includes a liquid crystal dispensing means and a nozzle cleaning means. The liquid crystal dispensing means includes a liquid crystal container for containing liquid crystal material and a nozzle through which the liquid crystal material may be dispensed on a substrate. The nozzle cleaning means is arranged around the nozzle and removes liquid crystal residue accumulated on a surface of the nozzle, moves to a lower portion of the nozzle to suck and remove the liquid crystal residue after liquid crystal material is dispensed by the liquid crystal dispensing means a predetermined number of times.
Abstract:
A cleaning jig for cleaning a plurality of liquid crystal containers includes a first fixing part provided with first holes within which flanges are arranged, a supporting die made, and a second fixing part for being coupled with the supporting die, arranged over the first fixing part, and including second holes arranged in correspondence with the first holes.
Abstract:
A liquid crystal dispensing apparatus dispenses liquid crystal onto a substrate. The liquid crystal dispensing apparatus includes a frame, a table, at least one liquid crystal discharge device, and a liquid crystal amount inspecting portion. The table is installed on the frame to have the substrate to be mounted thereon. The liquid crystal discharge device adjustably discharges an amount of liquid crystal, and the liquid crystal amount inspecting portion inspects a liquid crystal dispensing amount by comparing an actual amount of liquid crystal discharged from the liquid crystal discharge device with a preset liquid crystal amount. The liquid crystal discharge device includes a piston to perform ascending motions to draw in the liquid crystal and descending motions to discharge the liquid crystal with an angle of at least a portion of the liquid crystal discharge device determining a magnitude of the ascending/descending motion to control an amount of liquid crystal discharged.
Abstract:
A method of dispensing liquid crystal from N liquid crystal dispensing devices onto M panel locations (M>N) such that the amount of liquid crystal dispensed from each of the N liquid crystal dispensing devices is substantially the same.
Abstract:
A liquid crystal dispensing apparatus includes a needle sheet formed as a unitary piece for dispensing liquid crystal material contained within a liquid crystal container through a nozzle by selectively contacting a needle. The needle sheet includes a needle contacting portion for contacting the needle and a coupling portion for coupling the liquid crystal container to the nozzle. Therefore liquid crystal material is prevented from remaining within the needle sheet and the needle sheet can be easily cleaned.
Abstract:
A portable jig for facilitating the transport and storage a liquid crystal syringe includes a supporting die including at least one inspection hole, at least one receiving hole for receiving at least one liquid crystal syringe at an upper portion thereof and having a flange for fixing an upper end portion of the liquid crystal syringe, and an airtight lower face.

Abstract:
A liquid crystal dispensing apparatus for dispensing liquid crystal onto a substrate includes a liquid crystal container, a nozzle structure, and a valve structure. The liquid crystal container contains the liquid crystal to be dispensed. The nozzle structure is disposed at a lower portion of the liquid crystal container, and the liquid crystal is dispensed through the nozzle structure onto the substrate. The valve structure is disposed to control flow of the liquid crystal from the liquid crystal container to the nozzle structure in accordance with a gas pressure provided from a gas input of the liquid crystal container. The liquid crystal container may be formed of substantially entirely of metal. An inside surface of the liquid crystal container may include a fluorine resin.
