An image display apparatus and a method for operating the same are disclosed herein. The image display apparatus may include a display to display a 3D image having a left-eye image and a right-eye image, a sensor to detect positions of a first viewing device and a second viewing device for viewing the 3D image, and a controller configured control a perceived view of the 3D image viewed through the viewing devices. The perceived view of the 3D image may be changed based on a position of the viewing devices or the user relative to the display.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, an interface for controlling a display of a plurality of layers on a touch screen display includes displaying, on a touch screen display of the device, a main display layer and at least one sub display layer, detecting an object-down event at a first position within the main display layer, detecting an object-dragging event at a second position within the main display layer, and moving the main display layer along a movement direction from the first position to the second position, wherein at least one of the at least one sub display layer is displayed to be pulled to the movement direction in accordance with the movement of the main display layer.

A multi-functional display device having a channel scan interface and a method of controlling the same are disclosed herein. The method may include registering a first individual at the multi-functional display device to create an account that is associated with at least one first social network service (SNS) account for the first individual. A menu may be displayed for selecting among a plurality of channel scan modes for scanning channels of the multi-functional display device, including a channel scan mode for broadcast content and SNS content. For channel scan mode for SNS content, information for at least one second SNS account for a second individual associated with the at least one first SNS account may be retrieved, and a channel number assigned to the at least one second SNS account.

The method may include displaying broadcast content on a first multi-functional display device, transmitting a request to display the content on a second multi-functional display device. The second multi-functional display device may accept the request and display the content on the second multi-functional display device. The first and second multi-functional display devices may display the content at the same time. The first multi-functional display device may be associated with a first social network service (SNS) account of a first individual and the second multi-functional display device may be associated with a second SNS account of a second individual. The request to concurrently view the content may be generated using account information of the SNS accounts.

A method for managing and controlling a store and a system for the same are disclosed. The system includes a digital display shelf being provided with a recognition unit configured to recognize a product displayed on the shelf and an output unit configured to output information on the recognized product, a digital signage display configured to output data respective to the recognized product, and a managing system configured to communicate with the digital display shelf and the digital signage display so as to transmit control data and to receive processing data. Herein, the data respective to the recognized product may include at least one of audio data, video data, and text data configured to advertise and promote the corresponding product. The multi-functional display device may include a display for displaying broadcast programs or data, a network interface configured to receive event information associated with a social network service (SNS) account for an individual or entity, a storage device configured to store at least one channel number and at least one SNS account information assigned to the at least one channel number, and a controller for controlling the multi-functional display device. The controller may map the event information to one of the at least one channel numbers and may construct an EPG that includes the mapped event information and the corresponding channel number for display on the display.
