Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for eliminating an image sticking of a liquid crystal display (LCD) are provided. The image sticking occurs when the LCD is turned off. The LCD includes a data driver and a number of pixels coupled to a common voltage. The apparatus includes a voltage detector and a voltage switching device. The voltage detector detects a system voltage of the LCD and outputs a control signal according to the system voltage. The voltage switching device is coupled to the voltage detector for selectively providing a data voltage or the common voltage as a driving voltage of the data driver according to the control signal. The voltage switching device is controlled by the control signal to provide the common voltage to the data driver when the system voltage is less than a reference voltage.
Abstract:
A control circuit and a method discharging capacitor/transistor, for a liquid crystal display (LCD), are provided. The control circuit includes a signal-off detector and an all-gate-on delay cell. When an LCD power-off signal is detected, a first control signal is transmitted to a power supply module for turning off power except the gate-on voltage, and turning off VGH after a specific delay time. A second control signal is also transmitted to the gate-on-delay cell, so that all gates of the pixel transistors are turned on after a second specific delay time. The charges on the pixel transistor are discharged via a source thereof before the gate-on voltage decreases below a threshold value, such that a residual image phenomenon caused by heterogeneous filming fabrication is reduced.
Abstract:
A carrying safety device for a medical dropper, having a housing, a lifting/lowering controller, a dropper bottle and an auto-controlling system, wherein the housing has several chambers and provided with two ring buckles, in connection with a carrying belt for placing on the patient's back; the lifting/lowering controller is located in the housing with an extending/retracting portion extending outside the housing; the dropper bottle is connected with and controlled by the extending/retracting portion to be raised above the patient's chest or lowered into the housing; the auto-controlling system is disposed with operating switches and an encoder on an operating panel mounted on the housing or on the carrying belt, and includes a lifting/lowering drive circuit, a signal transmitter and receiver; the signal transmitter has an encoder set-up with a transmitter code and a mercury balance switch whereby an emergency rescue signal may be transmitted; a manual switch is provided for the patient to activate the rescue signal, and a detecting circuit emitting a warning sound when the dropper injection is completed, the signal receiver being placed within an inspection range of a guard to receive the rescue signal and emit warning sounds to inform the guard. An LED display is being disposed to display the transmitter code.
Abstract:
Power consumption in a portable computer device that provides true-color simulation on a liquid crystal display can be realized by selectively operating a graphics controller that drives the LCD to selectively enable or disable true color simulation. Disabling dithering which provides true color simulation in an LCD, can significantly reduce power consumption by a portable computer device.

An ultrasonic nebulizer for use in an inhaler, humidifier or mist maker, including a container holding a transmission medium, an ultrasonic vibrator having a sound wave generating area controlled by an electronic drive circuit to produce sound waves, and a tubular wave guide connected between the container and the ultrasonic vibrator to concentrate sound waves from the ultrasonic vibrator onto the transmission medium in the container, wherein the tubular wave guide has an inner diameter about the diameter of the sound wave generating area of the ultrasonic vibrator .+-.30%.
Abstract:
An acupuncture point display type electric stimulating therapeutic device is disclosed having a casing, an acupuncture point display system, an electric stimulating and heat generation system, and a power supply. The casing is divided into two parts: an upper casing and a lower casing. The upper casing has a hollow interior space, and has a recessed display, while the lower casing has control switches, adjusting knobs and connectors on its top surface. The upper and lower casings are connected together by a connecting element and locked together in the form of a book by a tenon and a mortise connection. The acupuncture point display system is installed within the upper casing, the electric stimulating and heat generation system is located within the lower casing, and the power supply provides electric power to all the systems. By entering a code representing the disorder to be treated, a description of the disorder, names and locations of the acupuncture points and a figure showing the locations of such acupuncture points on a human body are displayed as a reference for application of the electric therapeutic devices and/or heat curing plates for therapy purposes.
Abstract:
An automatic ampoule cutter including a driving device, cutter mechanism having a cutting member, a fixing member and a clamping member, a slant board, a collector and a fan, whereby when an ampoule is placed into the cutter mechanism, a micro switch is touched and activated by the ampoule to make the driving device drive the cutter mechanism, urging the cutting member, fixing member and clamping member to tightly clamp the ampoule, permitting the cutting member to rotate for several turns and cut a groove on the neck of the ampoule so that a knocking member can knock off the conic head to roll down on the slant board into the collector, and the cutting chips is blown by the fan also into the collector, and when the left ampoule is taken out to leave the micro switch, the operation of the cutter then stops.
Abstract:
The hand held shower apparatus of this invention includes a shower body having a hollow handle connectable at one end to a source of water and a shower head, water regulating means for regulating the supplied water into two different water streams, one with a showering effect and the other with a massaging effect, and a cap member having a perforated bottom surface with two groups of holes for the two water streams. The hollow handle is constructed in such a way that it can be extended by pulling it away from the shower head. The shower apparatus also has a shower utensil, such as a shower brush, connected with the cap member in such a way that the shower utensil moves up or down when rotated clockwise or counterclockwise with respect to the cap member. Construction of the shower apparatus has been made simple so that it can be assembled or disassembled with ease. Other embodiments of the shower utensil are also presented.
