A connector module includes an electrical connector and a sound-receiving component. The connector includes an insulation casing and multiple conductive terminals disposed at and passing through the insulating casing. The insulation casing has a jack hole at the outer-side thereof and a channel at the inner-side thereof and extending along an axial direction. The connector is adapted to connect the plug plugged into the channel from the jack hole. The sound-receiving component is disposed at the insulation casing along a radial direction, wherein the insulation casing has an opening communicated with the channel and corresponding to the sound-receiving component and the sound-receiving component is adapted to receive the sound transmitted into the channel from the jack hole via the opening. A handheld electronic device is also provided which includes a casing and a connector module disposed in the casing and adapted to connect a plug or receive a sound.

A method of forming a colored appearance suitable for forming a colored appearance for a conductive casing of a connector is provided. The conductive casing has a body and at least one lead. The lead extends from the body. The method of forming a colored appearance includes the following steps. A surface of the conductive casing is roughened. A conductive metal layer is formed on the roughened surface of the conductive casing. A shielding layer is formed on a part of the conductive metal layer located on the lead. A colorful conductive layer is formed on the conductive casing. The shielding layer and a part of the colorful conductive layer located on the shielding layer are removed to expose the part of the conductive metal layer on the lead. Therefore, the conductive casing has a colored appearance.

A multi-staged hinge assembly and a portable electrical device comprising the multi-staged hinge assembly are provided. The multi-staged hinge assembly utilizes a non-circular spindle to associate with a plurality of movable elements disposed thereon. One of the body portions of the portable electrical device automatically tilts at an angle after the body portion slides by the multi-staged hinge assembly. The user could further adjust the angle to meet the demands of various situations.

A handheld electronic device including a first body, a second body, a sliding module, and a shielding member is provided. The sliding module drives the first body and the second body transforming between a retracting state and a spreading state. The sliding module includes a sliding member, a fixing member and a driving member. The sliding member has an opening and when the first body and the second body configure in the spreading state, a part of the opening is exposed. The shielding member is coupled to the driving member. When the first body and the second body are transformed from the retracting state to the spreading state, the driving member drives the shielding member sliding with respect to the sliding member to shield the part of the opening.

The input device comprises an elastic sheet and a switch sheet, both with alignment through-holes for precise alignment. Thereby, a protrusion of the elastic sheet is disposed precisely above a switch of the switch sheet. Because of the inerrable assembly of the input device, the handheld electronic device will have an acute response to the depression made by the user.

A handheld electronic device including a first body, a second body, a flexible electrical connecting means and a cover is provided. The second body is slidely coupled to the first body. The flexible electrical connecting means is electrically connected between the first body and the second body and the cover is slidely coupled to the second body. The cover is located at a first position on the second body when the first body and the second body are in a stacked state. The cover shields the flexible electrical connecting means exposed due to the movement of the second body against the first body when the first body and the second body are in a spread state. Therefore, reliability and appearance of the handheld electronic device can be improved. In addition, available area on the handheld electronic device in the spread state can be increased, to provide higher design flexibility.

The transparent adhesive tape is configured between the display module and the transparent adhesive tape, and the transparent adhesive tape is adhered to the transparent cover layer. The transparent adhesive tape includes a flange portion extending beyond the display module, and the flange portion can be bent to secure the display unit to the case.
