摘要： Herein disclosed is a position adjustable support mechanism which is adapted to vary the height and/or inclination of a load supported on the support mechanism. The support mechanism uses a hydro-pneumatic spring which is extendable and contractable when subjected to a rotational force which is exerted thereon by rotating an operated lever. The support mechanism may be applied to an adjustable seat of a motor vehicle or an aircraft so that the seat position is varied steplessly. Where the support mechanism is combined with the adjustable seat, the support mechanism may be modified to include an additional hydropneumatic spring to permit the seat back to steplessly tilt relative to the seat proper.

摘要： An adjustable support structure for a seat unit of a motor vehicle, which structure permits fore and aft adjustments of the seat unit. The adjustable support structure comprises a stationary base member for fixing to a floor panel of the motor vehicle in laterally spaced and parallel relation to extend upwardly from the floor panel beneath the different seat ends in fore and aft relation thereto, a movable support member slidably carried on the stationary base member for fore and aft adjustments therealong and fixedly mounted thereon frame structures for the seat unit, a biasing means operatively interposed between the stationary base member and the movable support member for biasing the movable support member in forward direction, and a latch mechanism selectively releasable to cause the movable support member to automatically move in the forward direction under the force of the biasing means when the seat back is tilted forwardly to a predetermined angle.

摘要： An adjustable seat having a hydro-pneumatic spring mechanism which includes a cylinder connected to a seat back, a piston axially slidable in the cylinder, a piston rod projecting forwardly from the piston and connected to a seat structure and a valve connected to the piston rod to operatively engage with the piston. The cylinder has formed in its cylinder bore a gas compartment filled with a gas under pressure and a liquid compartment in which the piston and the valve are located. The cylinder together with the piston is rotatable relative to the piston rod through threads formed on the connecting portions of the piston and the piston rod, causing the cylinder to axially move relative to the seat so that the seat back is angularly moved between upright and reclining positions. Arrangements may be made to prevent the piston from being over-screwed and consequently sticking to the piston rod due to application of excess torque to the cylinder. Such arrangements include means to limit the angle of rotation of the cylinder or means to cause the valve to be deformed elastically when depressed by the piston.
