Abstract: A method of executing an application on a mobile computing device includes providing a first host application on a mobile computing device. Abstract: A mobile computing device system includes a first host application on a mobile computing device and a sub-application on the mobile computing device that is configured to selectively execute in response to execution of the first host application by the mobile computing device. A first user interface is displayed by the first host application on the mobile computing device by the first host application. The sub-application is configured to execute a method including determining a location of the mobile computing device, and if the mobile computing device is determined to be at a location within a predetermined geographic area, then generating an alert message including digital content associated with the first geographic area, and displaying the alert message on the first user interface. If the mobile computing device is not determined to be at a location within the predetermined first geographic area, then not displaying the alert message on the first user interface.

Abstract: A method of correlating events between multiple people is disclosed including generating a statistically unique event code. The statistically unique event code uniquely identifies the event and is associated with the event. The statistically unique event code is unique for at least a period of time up until the event happens. The statistically unique event code is provided when a person joins the event (e.g. printed on a ticket, transmitted in a data record, etc.). In a social network in which the person is a member, the statistically unique event code is associated with the person. A buddy list of the person is searched for other members of the social network for an overlap in which the person and one of the buddies of the person will be co-located (e.g., matching statistically unique event codes or at a location near the event, etc.).

Abstract: A computer system that provides a social network for traveling people includes software that maintains a list of members and buddies of the members. The software downloads schedule(s) from pre-determined schedule system(s). Each schedule has records with a person identifier, at least one date/time, and a location. The software searches the schedule(s) and extracts a subset of records in which the person identifier corresponds with a member from the list of members and the software creates layover entries from the subset. The software searches the layover entries for overlapping layovers, determined by a first member having a layover that overlaps with a layover of a buddy member (e.g. having the same or similar location and time/date). For each overlapping layover, the software notifies either the member and/or the buddy who have the overlapping layover.
