Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of manufacturing a pipe segment for a link tube between the sea floor and a petroleum drilling rig disposed on the sea surface, wherein it consists in: providing a transport pipe segment that is resistant to open-sea conditions; disposing a female bayonet-piece around one reinforced end of the transport pipe segment; welding or otherwise bonding a narrower portion of the bayonet-piece to said reinforced end; disposing an insulator around the transport pipe segment and around the bayonet-piece; inserting the transport pipe segment into an outer wall segment; welding or otherwise bonding a narrower portion of the outer wall segment to the other reinforced end of the transport pipe segment; disposing a cover-piece around the bayonet-piece; welding or otherwise bonding the cover-piece to the outer wall segment and to the bayonet-piece; it being possible to apply tightening torque to the outer wall segment and to transmit it to the transport pipe segment.
Abstract:
A method of commissioning one subsea hydrocarbon well terminating by a wellhead, wherein, from a petroleum drilling rig, the method includes: screwing double-walled pipe segments together in mutual succession to form a thermally insulated floor-to-surface 1 hydrocarbons, and an outer pipe, between which pipes a thermally insulating material is disposed; connecting the floor-to-surface link pipe to wellhead; and extracting the hydrocarbons via the floor-to-surface link pipe to the drilling rig on the surface.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a segment designed to be fitted by screw-fastening for implementing a fluid transport pipe for transporting a fluid, which pipe comprises an inner wall and an outer wall, the segment comprising an inner tube and an outer tube that define an annular space between them, the segment comprising in particular one heating duct placed in its annular space and opening out at either end of its annular space, said annular space being designed to be closed hermetically in order to enable it to be brought to a reduced pressure. The invention relates further to a method of manufacturing said segment and a method of implementing said fluid transport pipe.
Abstract:
A device for sealing off a segment of pipe-in-pipe pipeline including an inner pipe and an outer pipe between which an insulating material is interposed, and including a water detector. The device includes: a first plug for closing off the inner pipe, a tubular extension welded to the end of the outer pipe, the free end of the extension extending beyond the first plug and being closed off by a second plug, and a means for fixing the position of the inner pipe and outer pipe, integral with the extension.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a heated pipe for the transportation of a fluid comprising: a fluid transportation casing, one or several electric heating cables each arranged along the transportation casing, each cable comprising an electrically conductive core arranged in an electrically insulating and thermally conductive sheath, a thermally insulating material applied onto said heating cable or cables and onto the transportation casing, an external casing arranged around the thermally insulating material and made integral with the transportation casing in a sealed manner so as to define at least one annular space enabling its pressure to be reduced, the pipe additionally comprises means to reduce partial electrical discharges between said heating cable or cables and the transportation casing.
Abstract:
A heating installation for hydrocarbon extraction pipes via a well linking the surface to an extraction zone, including a substantially cylindrical casing consolidating the drill hole, a hydrocarbon extraction method and method to enable a hot fluid to be made to circulate from the surface to the well zone to be heated. The injection method includes in the casing first thermally insulated heating tubing to inject the hot fluid from the surface to the required depth and second heating tubing surrounding the first tubing to bring the hot fluid towards the surface and the extraction method includes a pumping tubing surrounding the first and second heating tubing for the extraction of hydrocarbons.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a segment of pipe-in-pipe pipeline comprising an annulus under reduced pressure sealed and delimited by a metallic internal pipe inserted into a metallic external pipe and provided with a measurement system to determine in a non-intrusive manner the state of the annulus, the measurement system being composed of a first internal emitter/receiver assembly placed inside the annulus and cooperating with means to measure a first physical quantity such as pressure, hygrometry or temperature inside the reduced pressure annulus and a second external emitter/receiver assembly arranged to the exterior of the segment and facing said first assembly.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a process and a device for laying a subsea pipeline according to the J-lay or S-lay method wherein straight sections are mounted onshore, dried and degassed then closed by plugs. The sections are loaded on a pipe-laying ship, are separated from their plugs before the welding. At the welding of each bulkhead a short pumping is operated to reduce the pressure in the part of the annulus located between the two last bulkheads and then the opening leading to the annulus are sealed.
