摘要: The exemplary embodiments of the invention provide at least a method, apparatus, and executable computer program to perform operations including signaling MBMS change related information to, from, or between network devices in the same or different carrier frequencies. The MBMS related information regarding new, on-going, appearing, and/or disappearing multi-cast services offered in different frequency cells. Further, the exemplary embodiments of the invention provide for determining that multi-cast services in different carrier frequencies are new, on-going, appearing, and/or disappearing multi-cast services. In addition, the exemplary embodiments of the invention provide for operations at network devices to send and receive signaling regarding changes to multi-cast services offered in the same and/or a different carrier frequency. Further, the exemplary embodiments of the invention provide for operations to announce only changes to a set of MBMS services offered in a carrier frequency to network devices in the same or other carrier frequencies. The exemplary embodiments provide operations for signaling between different network devices in the same and/or different carrier frequencies to indicate that a network device is to be informed regarding changes to the multi-cast services provided in a carrier frequency.

摘要: A method of allocating resources and signatures of a random access resource (RACH) (200) that includes dedicated (202) and non-dedicated (204) resources or sub-resources is disclosed. The network device determines if the dedicated resource is available for allocation. If the dedicated resource is available, the network device allocates the dedicated resource. If the dedicated resource is blocked, the network device allocates one of the non-dedicated resources. A message can be sent that indicates that allocated non-dedicated resource is being allocated as a dedicated resource.

摘要: A scheduler associated with a base station of a wireless communication network dynamically compensates for uplink bandwidth that has been re-assigned (stolen) by a mobile station (MS) to transmit a control message. The scheduler allocates a preset amount of bandwidth to the MS for data transmission. The scheduler detects bandwidth stealing activity and evaluates when bandwidth stealing is justified on he part of the MS. The scheduler provides additional bandwidth to appropriately compensate for the stolen bandwidth when bandwidth stealing is justified, in order to maintain the quality of service of the data traffic connection.

摘要: Paging information is transmitted in a first selected one of a plurality of time slots. At least one operating characteristic of the paging system is determined and a determination then made as to whether the at least one operating characteristic of the paging system meets a predetermined criteria (202). When the at least one operating characteristic of the paging system meets the predetermined criteria (204), a data transmission of a first user is scheduled in a second selected one of the plurality of time slots such that the data transmission in the second selected one of the plurality of time slots does not interfere with transmitting the paging information in the first selected one of the plurality of time slots (206).

摘要: A method and corresponding system for controlling uplink timing in a communication network (100) is described. The method comprises of scheduling a mobile device (104) to transmit a preamble over a physical random access channel. The mobile device (104) is scheduled to transmit the preamble over a physical random access channel at a selected random access slot. The method then includes receiving the preamble transmitted by the scheduled mobile device (104). The preamble is received over the physical random access channel. The method further comprises measuring a timing offset at which the preamble is received from the scheduled mobile device (104) and determining a timing adjustment value in uplink transmission timing based on the measured timing offset. The method then comprises transmitting a timing advance command comprising the determined timing adjustment value in a control message to the mobile device (104) for controlling uplink transmission timing at the mobile device (104).
