    摘要: In a device which excites an oscillating signal in a closed loop containing a delay circuit and a filter so as to synthesize a sound of pitch corresponding to the total delay time in the closed loop, arithmetic operations are performed in the closed loop, in response to a change in a color controlling coefficient caused during generation of the sound, for interpolating delayed output signals from plural points in the loop having different delay time. This interpolation compensates for a variation in the signal delay time in the closed loop resultant from the change in the filter coefficient, to allow the entire closed loop to provide such a total delay time that excites oscillation corresponding to a desired pitch. The closed loop also includes first and second filters. When generation of the sound is to be started, the delay time adjustment or pitch modification is performed by using, as the first filter, an all-pass filter that has the advantage of having no adverse effect on the frequency characteristic of sound. During generation of the sound, so as to avoid the adverse effect resultant from a variation in the coefficient of the all-pass filter, variable control of the delay time or variation control of the pitch is performed by using, as the second filter, a low-pass filter that functions as a delay interpolator.

    摘要: The musical tone synthesizing apparatus is mainly configured by a closed loop which at least provides a delay circuit and an all-pass filter. The delay circuit delays an input signal (e.g., excitation wave signal) by a first delay time corresponding to a certain integral number of sampling periods. The all-pass filter functions to at least delay an output of the delay circuit by a second delay time corresponding to a decimal fraction of the sampling period, so that an output of the all-pass filter is fed back to the delay circuit. The whole delay time of the closed loop consists of the first and second delay times which can be respectively controlled. Thus, a musical tone signal representing a synthesized musical tone (e.g., an attenuating sound which is produced from an percussion instrument) is picked up from the closed loop. Incidentally, the whole configuration of the closed loop can be embodied by a digital signal processor (DSP).

The received response waveform is analyzed and parameters for an acoustic image localization system are obtained. The acoustic image localization system comprising a delay circuit, a filter and an amplification controller sets the parameters into the delay circuit, the filter and the amplification controller, so that the detected localization of an acoustic image is reproduced.

    摘要: The present invention provides a signal delay circuit for substantially steplessly changing a delay interval. The signal delay circuit is composed essentially of a delay controller, a first delay circuit, and a second delay circuit. The delay controller generates and outputs control data consisting of a real number bearing control information for controlling the delay interval, the real number consists of an integral portion and a fractional portion. The first delay circuit receives an incidental signal, delays the incidental signal for creating a first intermediate signal, and outputs the first intermediate signal, the first intermediate signal being delayed with respect to the incidental signal by an interval which is a product of a predetermined cardinal interval and the integral portion of the real number. The second delay circuit receives the first intermediate signal, produces at least one second intermediate signal by delaying the first intermediate signal by at least one interval which is an integral multiple of the predetermined cardinal interval, interpolates the first intermediate signal and said at least one second intermediate signal for producing a delayed signal, and outputs the delayed signal, the delayed signal being delayed with respect to the first intermediate signal by an interval which is a product of the predetermined cardinal interval and the fractional portion of the real number. As a result, the delayed signal is delayed with respect to the incidental signal by a delay interval which is a product of the predetermined cardinal interval and the real number output by the delay control means.

    摘要: An electronic musical instrument includes an excitation circuit, a closed loop circuit, a characteristics analysis circuit and a control circuit. The excitation circuit generates an excitation signal in response to performance information. The closed loop circuit causes the excitation signal inputted from the excitation circuit to circulate thereabout musical tone signal. The closed loop circuit also has a delay circuit for delaying the musical tone signal for a predetermined time. The characteristics analysis circuit analyzes an input signal and generates a control signal corresponding to the result of the analysis of the input signal. The control circuit controls characteristics of the musical tone signal circulating in the closed loop circuit in response to the control signal. The musical tone signal circulating in the closed loop circuit is then outputted therefrom as a sound signal.

    摘要: The present invention provides a signal delay circuit for substantially steplessly changing a delay interval.
