摘要： This abstract describes a carriage which is constructed with rollers so that it can be positioned on and travel along a fence constructed with substantially horizontal board rails. The carriage is in the shape of an inverted U so that with rollers on the underside of the top and on the inside of the two walls it is guided to remain in a vertical position and can be rolled along the top edge of the top board of the fence. On the front surface of the carriage is a paint container which is removably fastened for cleaning, etc. The container is designed to hold a volume of paint and includes means to support and drain the brush, etc. Means are provided so that the paint container can be tilted in accordance with the slope of the fence so that the container will be in a horizontal position even though the fence is on a slope. Means are provided to allow the side roller spacing to accommodate the painting of thinner or thicker boards. Means are also provided to roll the carriage along a pipe rail. In this case there is a side arm fastened on the device on which a counter weight is hung, so that the rotational torque in one direction on the device due to the container is balanced by the counter weight providing an equal and opposite torque in the other direction. Thus the device stays in a vertical position and can be readily moved along the pipe rail.

摘要： A bib for a bite registration tray has a paste supporting strip of soft, flexible, open mesh material, its lateral margins embedded in resilient snap fastening channels of set plastic material. Embedding of the margins is effected during molding of the channels. The channels are coextensive in length with the strip and each has a restricted entry passage with guide walls flaring outwardly from the passage, so that the channels can be snapped easily onto laterally spaced wire frame members, respectively, of a bite registration tray in a direction radially of the frame members for holding the strip in bridging relation to the space between the wire frame members. The channels are of such resiliency and the strip is so connected thereto that the strip can be adjusted for slack or tensioned condition by rotating one or both of the channels about the axes of the frame members, respectively. The gripping power of the channels is such that, coupled with the lengthwise curvature of the frame members and resilient warpage of the channels, the channels remain in the adjusted position to which they have been rotated, and thus retain the strip with the selected degree of slackness or tension. The bibs are produced in multiple by a new method.

摘要： Surface relief of concrete shapes is described wherein an explosive composition is embedded a shallow depth in the concrete shape and is thereafter detonated after the concrete has acquired a permanent set. The detonation removes the over burden of concrete and relieves the surface of the concrete in an aesthetically pleasing manner. The preferred explosive composition is a detonating cord which can be embedded in the concrete in a regular and orderly pattern and at a uniform depth, e.g., about 1/2 to 1 inch beneath the surface of the concrete shape when the concrete is poured into its containing form.

摘要： A pressure gauge isolator employs a tube or line between the pressure gauge and a source of pressure. A translatable piston or plug is disposed within the line between two constrictions. The first constriction prevents the plug from entering the system which comprises the source of pressure. The second constriction prevents the plug from passing beyond the constriction to prevent excessive pressurization of the gauge and to positively prevent the fluid of the pressure source from reaching the gauge. The plug or piston has a first end in sealing engagement with the inner wall of the tube and facing the pressure source. A second end of the plug has a diameter to provide a slight clearance between it and the inner wall of the tube. The plug is made of resilient material such as rubber.

摘要： A caster construction includes an obstacle clearing member supported continuously in advance of the path of rolling movement of the caster for free vertical movement above and preferably below the floor contacting surface of the caster wheel such that the clearing member preferably slides continuously along the floor to clear objects from the path of the wheel, but yet can move upwardly relative to the wheel should the wheel encounter a depression in the floor. The free vertical movement also compensates for wear along the lower edge of the member. The clearing member may be a cylindrical sleeve slidably supported or guided by a support means coupled to the caster swivel spindle or other appropriate part of the caster construction or the device to which the caster is attached. The attachment is particularly useful for mechanic''s creeper wheels.

摘要： Articles such as bricks are loaded on one end of a horizontal endless loading conveyer in predetermined groups governed by trays fixed on the endless member of the conveyer. When the groups of articles reach a discharge station along the conveyer, they are sequentially discharged transversely of the conveyer onto a horizontal temporary support plate by paddle plates moved by an endless conveyer transversely overlying the first conveyer such that the articles are pushed by the paddle plates onto the temporary support plate. The temporary support plate overlies a vertical elevator and is retractable from below the discharged articles resting thereon to deposit the same on preceding articles stacked on the elevator. The elevator is then lowered a predetermined amount to make space for the next group of articles to be discharged after which the temporary support plate is moved back to its position overlying the elevator to receive the next group of articles to be discharged. When the elevator reaches its lower-most position, having received a full stack of articles, a push-off mechanism including a vertical pusher plate pushes the stacked articles from the elevator to an adjacent shuttle car which then is moved adjacent a further handling station such as a strapping station where a second push-off mechanism is actuated to push the stacked articles from the shuttle car into a strapping mechanism. The shuttle car then returns adjacent the elevator which then may be raised to a level below the temporary support plate for starting the next stacking operation. The entire system is hydraulically operated under the control of limit switches and timers. An interlocking arrangement of switches and timers ensures that the operation proceeds only when the various components of the system are in proper position. Where the articles are bricks for example and it is desired to form the stack of articles with voids therein for receiving the tines of a fork lift truck, certain trays on the loading conveyer are provided with fixed blocks signifying the position of the voids to the loader. Certain trays may be used for receiving articles which are defective and are discharged at the end of the loading conveyer separately from the normal discharge.
