    摘要: The present invention provides a method and apparatus featuring performing detection functionality to determine if a wirelessly connected node, point or terminal in a wireless network configured to operate according a predefined power saving scheme operates incorrectly; and adjusting the predefined power saving scheme when wirelessly connected with the particular node, point or terminal if an incorrect power saving operation is detected. The detection functionality may include probing types of power saving protocol tests and using lower and higher-layer protocol information to detect if the mobile device might be missing some data. The adjusting may include: 1) disabling the predefined power saving scheme, or 2) switching entering into the predefined power savings scheme only after a predefined inactivity period, wherein the predefined inactivity is substantially longer than in “normal” operation.

    摘要: A telecommunication network planning and network control includes network installation procedures and a system for configuring a telecommunication network. More specifically, a method and system for configuring a telecommunication network relate to preparing a network element for operation, and giving an address to a network element, where each network element in the telecommunication network has an address of its own. The method and system are further characterized by a process in which each network element is made a subnetwork of its own, a common network-wide IP classification is selected, an IP address is created for each network element, a configuration file is created which includes at least IP address information in combination with a network element site identifier. The configuration file is stored in a control device, and the configuration file is loaded from the control device into the network element on the basis of the site identifier.

    摘要: A method for controlling a connection, especially a wireless connection, between two modems in the event of disturbance, which includes initiating a so-called retrain procedure in the event of disturbance when either one of the modems receives a signal of unsatisfactory quality. In the retrain procedure, the modems transmit predetermined retrain signals to each other in order to achieve synchronism between them. For reliable and rapid disconnection of a connection, the progress of the retrain procedure is monitored, and every time the procedure is stuck in a state other than a data transmission state for a period of time longer than a predetermined limit, the modem is commanded to initiate a repetition of the start-up procedure by means of which the connection between the modems was originally established.
