摘要: A glider consisting preferably of a silicone molded platform with eight roller balls strategically placed on the undersurface of the platform. The glider provides a mobile cushion to support a wrist, elbow or forearm while actively mousing, drawing, or performing other tasks. The glider can be used independently or with a cushion positioned on the top of the platform. It can be placed under the wrist to help alleviate repetitive stress injuries such as carpal tunnel by maintaining the wrist in a neutral position. Versatility is offered by allowing use of the glider alone, cushioning alone, or combinations of glider and cushioning with various cushions.

摘要: Disclosed is a system, method, and program for linking to data from a document that includes a pointer to the data in a first storage device, which may be maintained in a network file server. A first request to access the data addressed by the pointer in the document is processed. Information on alternate storage devices, such as alternate file servers in the network, and data therein is processed to determine whether a copy of the data is present in a second storage device. A second request is submitted to access the copy of the data in the second storage device after determining that the information indicates that the second storage device includes the data. The accessed copy of the data, received in response to the second request, is then returned to the first request.

摘要: A signature folding device includes a rotating belt and a plurality of blades attached to the belt, each of the plurality of blades contacting one of the signatures over an entire length of the one signature at a same time. Also disclosed is a method for folding a signature comprising transporting the signature on a fold table having a gap, the signature moving in a transport direction and forming a plane. A folding blade having a blade edge is moved in a direction both perpendicular and parallel to the transport direction, the blade edge being parallel to the plane upon contact with the signature, so as to pass through the gap and fold the signature.

摘要: A method of producing an amide from the corresponding nitrile comprising the following steps, i) providing a microorganism capable of producing a nitrile hydratase biocatalyst, ii) culturing the microorganism in a growth medium, iii) storing the microorganism, iv) contacting the nitrile by the microorganism in an aqueous medium and thereby converting the nitrile to the amide, wherein the microorganism is stored as none actively growing free cells in a storage medium that comprises water. The stored microorganism may be as whole microbial cells, this may be in the form of a cell paste recovered from a fermentation medium; an aqueous suspension of the microbial cells, prepared using a suitable suspending medium such as water, physiological saline solution, or a suitable buffer solution, such as phosphate or comprises the fermentation broth that contains components of the fermentation culture medium and products of microbial culture. The microorganism exhibits no significant loss of activity, for example if stored even for at least 2 days, especially 3 to 28 days.

摘要: An apparatus and method for jointly equalizing a return to zero (RZ) signal and detecting timing errors in the RZ signal, using values or indices from equalizer taps, including a set reference tap that does not shift. A timing error detector detects a timing error based on a group delay measured from the equalizer tap information, and then adjustment circuitry modifies samples of the received RZ signal prior to their equalization to offset that timing error. Methods of modifying the samples to offset the timing error include adjusting the timing of the sampler, or adjusting the sampled data using intermediate, interpolated samples generated by a timing interpolation filter.

摘要: A method of controlling a gas turbine system (10) may include controlling an inlet guide vane position (98) to maintain a turbine (24) exhaust temperature at a corrected value that is a function of a compressor (12) inlet temperature and a turbine (24) normalized load. The method may include selecting the minimum value (138) of a part load tunable value, a part load maximum value and a fixed maximum value of a turbine (24) exhaust temperature for the corrected value. A corrected value setpoint may be determined (94) for the gas turbine system (10) operating at a part load condition where at least one of a fuel flow rate and the inlet guide vane position is controlled (98) so the corrected value does not exceed the corrected value setpoint. The corrected value may prevent a turbine (24) engine from exceeding its firing temperature during operation and ensure the engine operates within combustor dynamics and emissions limits.
