摘要： A method and apparatus for playing back a scene using Universal Plug and Play (UPnP). A control point sends a request for a scene to be played back to a media server that stores Audio/Video (AV) content and receives the scene to be played back from the media server in response to the request. The control point receives information about supportable protocol and file format from a media renderer that will play back content, and determines a content resource, a protocol and a file format to be used for playback based on the information. The control point composes a scene to be played back based on the received scenes. The media renderer plays back the composed scene.

摘要： A method is provided for resolving a collision of Internet Protocol (IP) addresses between devices connected to a first server and a second server remotely accessed in a Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) remote access service. The second server receives address information of a network of the first server from the first server. The second server compares address information of a network of the second server with the received address information of the network of the first server, and determines whether a collision has occurred between addresses of the first server and the second server. A collided address is changed when the collision has occurred.

摘要： Disclosed is a method and apparatus for processing multiple inputs from a plurality of users in a home network. A control point requests electronic devices in the home network to transmit input capability information, receives the input capability information as a response to the request from the electronic devices, and performs session setup using the input capability information by determining a receiver for receiving input signals and at least two senders for sending input signals. The control point transmits input signals transmitted by the at least two senders to the receiver.

摘要： The present invention provides a method and system for managing contact information in a universal plug and play (UPnP) home network environment. In one embodiment, the present invention provides a method of a telephony server (TS) for providing contact information to a telephony control point (TelCP) in a universal plug and play home network environment. The method includes receiving a request for providing contact information updates associated with at least one contact entry from the TelCP connected to the TS in an UPnP home network environment. The method further includes obtaining the requested contact information updates from an address book associated with the at least one contact entry. The method also includes providing the obtained contact information updates associated with the at least one contact entry to the TelCP.

A control point sends a request for information about input capabilities to an electronic device existing in the home network, and receives the information about the input capabilities in response to the request. The control point sets an input client and an input server based on the received information about the input capabilities. The control point transmits input data received through the set input client to the set input server.

A request to update a contact entry is received from a TCP that is coupled to the TS in the UPnP home network. It is determined whether the identifier in the request is associated with any of one or more network address books in one or more WAN servers coupled to the TS via a WAN. When the identifier is associated with at least one of the one or more network address books, the contact entry in the at least one network address book is updated based on the contact information.
