    摘要: A method, a system and a computer program product for handling requests in a network are disclosed. A load pattern at a first service component is extracted. A capacity and pending requests at the first service component are calculated based on the load pattern. Thereafter, an insertion delay is calculated based on the capacity, pending requests, and a time period required to increase the capacity by applying various alternative adaptation techniques. The insertion delay is then distributed among a plurality of upstream service components.

The user computing device may be configured to transmit the selected content item to a print device. The print device may be configured to print the selected content item on a label of the structural document kit. The label may be configured to be affixed to the structural document.

The exception page selector receives input that uses a naming convention to identify pages within a document for exception programming. The naming convention may include an odd/even designation, an imposition template identifier and/or page numerals. An exception programmer enables an operator to correlate different device color profiles for pages identified by the exception page selector. Exception parameters that may also be correlated to pages identified by the exception page selector include anti-aliasing, trapping, black overprinting parameters, and other known printing parameters.

The first computerized device receives from a second computerized device a request for at least one of the printable images within an electronic and/or hardcopy publication. The first computerized device transmits display information to cause the second computerized device to display one or more of the printable images appearing on the page number of the electronic and/or hardcopy publication. The first computerized device receives an image selection from the second computerized device that identifies selected images from among the printable images displayed by the second computerized device. The first computerized device provides the selected images to the second computerized device, or to a printer or print shop.

    摘要: A system and method for printer control and color balance calibration. The system and method address the image quality problems of print engine instability, low quality of color balance and contouring from the calibration. The method includes defining combinations of colorants, such as inks or toners that will be used to print images, defining a desired response for the combinations that are to be used and, in real time, iteratively printing CMY halftone color patches, measuring the printed patches via an in situ sensor and iteratively performing color-balance calibration based on the measurements, accumulating corrections until the measurements are within a predetermined proximity of the desired response. The calibration is performed on the halftones while they are in a high quantization resolution form.
