摘要:
Methods and systems for making decisions related to the operation of a hydrocarbon well include 1) characterizing effective production capacity of a reservoir over space and time based at least in part on a reservoir potential and a near-well capacity; 2) determining an optimized well potential over space and time relative to the characterized effective production capacity using a well model of a simulated well accessing the reservoir; and 3) determining at least one well operating plan component that can be incorporated into a well operating plan to provide the optimized well potential in a well accessing the reservoir. The optimized well potential may be determined based at least in part on an objective function that considers at least one of a plurality of decision-making factors, such as one or more of operations costs, operational risks, and modeled production rates over the life of the well.

A hybrid sand control system is provided herein. The sand control system is designed to reside and operate within a wellbore, preferably a wellbore that has been completed horizontally. The system utilizes compliant and non-compliant sand control assemblies placed in the wellbore across one or more zones of interest. The system has particular utility in connection with the control of sand migration across these zones within a surrounding open-hole portion of a wellbore. A method for completing a wellbore in a subsurface formation using the hybrid sand control system is also provided herein.
摘要:
Methods for creating and using space-time surrogate models of subsurface regions, such as subsurface regions containing at least one hydrocarbon formation. The created surrogate models are explicit models that may be created from implicit models, such as computationally intensive full-physics models. The space-time surrogate models are parametric with respect to preselected variables, such as space, state, and/or design variables, while also indicating responsiveness of the preselected variables with respect to time. In some embodiments, the space-time surrogate model may be parametric with respect to preselected variables as well as to time. Methods for updating and evolving models of subsurface regions are also disclosed.
