Abstract:
A composite for providing shielding against cosmic radiation, consisting essentially of carbon nanotubes, a biopolymer of lignin and a halogen as dopant.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a system and method for automatically updating a widget on desktop. The system includes a receiving module that receives widget data from a desktop application and a version determination module that determines if the widget being launched is the most current. In addition, the system includes a download module that downloads at least one component for the widget if a newer version is available. The present invention can also be viewed as a method for automatically updating a widget on desktop. The method operates by receiving widget data from a desktop application, determining if the widget being launched is the most current, and downloading at least one component for the widget if a newer version is available.
Abstract:
A biologically photoconductive dispersion comprising: a donor/acceptor blend of a single layer, wherein the donor domains is a synthetic polymer, and the acceptor domains is a liquid organic semiconductor composite comprising, by weight about 14% single walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs), about 57% of a biopolymer selected from lignin or melanin, and a dopant selected from the group consisting of iodine, phosphorous or boron.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a system and method for placing a widget onto a remote device. The system includes a widget module that indicates when the widget is to be acquired, and a transmission module that transmits widget data to a desktop application. In addition, the system includes a download module that downloads at least one component for the widget and a load module that loads the widget on the remote device. The present invention can also be viewed as a method for placing a widget onto a remote device. The method operates by indicating that the widget is to be acquired and transmitting widget data to a desktop application. Then, the method operates by downloading at least one component for the widget, and loading the widget on the remote device.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a system and method for deploying a requested widget as an advertisement on a remote device. The system comprising means for determining location of the remote device, means for determining if the requested widget to be placed on the remote device exists, and means for serving the requested widget as an advertisement to the remote device if the location is enabled for the requested widget and the requested widget exists. The present invention can also be viewed as a method for deploying a requested widget as an advertisement on a remote device. The method operates by determining location of the remote device, determining if the requested widget to be placed on the remote device exists, and serving the requested widget as an advertisement to the remote device if the location is enabled for the requested widget and the requested widget exists.
Abstract:
A method for production of electricity from light, comprising: contacting with light a heterojunction device with a clear film anode of ITO and a cathode of Al, said device having: i) a donor/acceptor blend in a single layer, wherein the donor domains is a synthetic polymer, and the acceptor domains is a) a dry organic semiconductor composite of sonicated single walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) wetted with epon 862 epoxy resin, and b) a biopolymer selected from lignin or melanin.
