Abstract: An image scanning device and an image scanning method are provided. The invention is related to a miniaturized image scanning device and an image scanning method. The miniaturized image scanning device includes a housing, a first driving roller set, an entrance sensor, an image sensor, a reflective light source, a transmissive light source, and a control module. The housing has an entrance and an exit. The first driving roller set is disposed in the housing. The entrance sensor is disposed between the entrance and the first driving roller set. The image sensor, the reflective light source and the transmissive light source are disposed between the first driving roller set and the exit. The control module receives and processes signals outputted from the image sensor and the entrance sensor to control the operation of the image sensor, the first driving roller set, the reflective light source and the transmissive light source.

Abstract: A film holder is provided. During scanning of a to-be-scanned object, the film holder is inserted into a scanning device. The film holder includes an input portion, a guiding portion and a leveling portion. The input portion has an entrance, a channel and an exit, the channel disposed between the entrance and the exit. During scanning of the to-be-scanned object, the to-be-scanned object passes through the channel. The guiding portion connects to the input portion for guiding the to-be-scanned object. The leveling portion is disposed on one side of the channel. During scanning of the to-be-scanned object, the leveling portion leans against the to-be-scanned object. The sensing unit stably senses the to-be-scanned object. The to-be-scanned object inside the film holder is kept from being scratched and the to-be-scanned object is in smooth move during scanning.

Abstract: A scanning method of scanning apparatus and a scanning apparatus are provided. Firstly, when the scanning apparatus is in the default reflective document scanning state and a document is placed in the scanning apparatus, the scanning apparatus automatically activates reflective document scanning function to perform scanning. Next, a document holder is disposed in the feeding entrance of the scanning apparatus, wherein after the scanning apparatus activates the transmissive document scanning state and the document is placed in the document holder, the scanning apparatus automatically activates transmissive document scanning function to perform scanning. The scanning method automatically activates corresponding scanning function without performing document recognition, incurs lower power consumption, produces fast recognition, and is applicable to various scanning apparatuses having both reflective document and transmissive document scanning function. The scanning apparatus has well-designed structure, incurs lower manufacturing cost, and does not require complicated light emitting element and light measuring element.

Abstract: A scan assisting fixing device and a scanner using the same are provided. The fixing device is for fixing an object to be scanned, which includes a scanning portion and a holding portion.
