摘要： A system and method for monitoring a telephone switching environment. In a preferred embodiment the system and method simultaneously monitor both an SMDR link and a real-time CTI link, gather information about calls from both sources, and combine gathered information into a single data model of the telephony activity. A server is provided which in a preferred embodiment comprises two main modules: a translation module and a message router module. Several translation modules can be used—one for each PBX interface or vendor API layer. The server accepts data from a PBX or similar equipment in a telephone switch environment, and can use both real-time CTI communications links and asynchronous information sources such as the Station Message Detail Recording (SMDR) interface. The server then translates and combines the various types of data into a unified, normalized format.

摘要： A method of measuring a thickness of a sheet being conveyed on a transport path includes rotating a substantially cylindrical reference surface disposed in the transport path and engaging a probe with the reference surface to determine a runout value for each of a set of positions along a circumference of the reference surface. The method further includes conveying the sheet on the transport path so that the sheet contacts the reference surface at one position of the set, engaging the probe with the sheet at the one position to determine a measured sheet thickness value, and adjusting the measured sheet thickness value based on the runout value for the one position to obtain an actual sheet thickness value.

In a preferred embodiment the system and method receive data describing data segments to be played back; transmit notifications to the playback servers to prepare for playback; and transmit playback requests to the playback servers. The system and method are also capable of playing back the segments in a specified order and such that gaps between the segments are minimized. Additionally, a graphical display can be provided to display the status of the segments being played back.

摘要： A method of detecting mailpiece thickness includes detecting a leading edge of the mailpiece, moving a detecting roller downwardly over a first predetermined period of time from a first position to a second position where it contacts the mailpiece, increasing a compressive force applied by the detecting roller to the mailpiece from an initial force to a predetermined measurement force over a second predetermined period of time, and applying the measurement force to the mailpiece for a third predetermined period of time. The method further includes applying the measurement force to the mailpiece for a fourth predetermined period of time and making a number of thickness measurements of the mailpiece based on a position of the detecting roller, and determining the thickness of the mailpiece based on the number of thickness measurements.
