摘要： A method, computer program product and system are provided for performing automated linking between sheets of a drawing set depicting an electronic representation of an electrical wiring diagram. The method, computer program product, and system automatically transform drawings into a format that provides enriched electronic display and navigation among drawings. Connections and relationships among large sets of drawings are automatically discovered and extracted by utilizing complex graphical recognition and logical inference. Links are then created that represent the connections and relationships between common elements of the drawings. As such, the present invention automatically produces an interactive electronic representation of a drawing set that allows a user to quickly and accurately view, highlight and/or alter a portion of a drawing and all of the drawings that connect to or also depict that portion.

摘要： In accordance with this invention, a method, computer program product, and system for performing automated recognition of blocks of text within a graphic file are provided. The method, computer program product, and system automatically transform drawings into a graphic file format that provides enriched electronic display and text search of the graphic files. The text within large sets of drawings, parts catalogs, and various manuals is automatically discovered, extracted and indexed by the geometric location of the text within the graphic file. Single lines of text and blocks of text are recognized by utilizing geometric reasoning techniques based upon proximity and font characteristics. As such, the present invention automatically produces an interactive electronic representation of a graphic file that allows a user to quickly and accurately search graphic files for particular text, whether the text appears in a single line or over multiple lines in a block of text.

The electronic trouble shooting system enables users to easily navigate large quantities of interrelated data and accurately analyze how each plug is used. The system automatically integrates additional information such as the function of each contact, what signals are connected to the contact, and what tools and processes are required to repair or test electrical circuitry. The system provides an Intelligent Plug Map Recognizer that associates a correct contact label for each contact associated with a plug map file defining a plug map; an HTML Generator that generates an HTML file for the plug map; a CGM4 File Builder that generates an intelligent plug map file from the plug map file; and a technical data system application that synchronizes plug map views when a contact associated with the plug map is identified.

摘要： A system and method for navigating drawings on a computing system is provided. The method includes loading drawings and associated object data. The drawings and the associated object data are arranged into at least two types of navigation networks, each type of navigation network having a plurality of parameters to interact with the drawings. Keys in a keyboard are mapped based on the plurality of parameters of the at least two types of navigation networks. A navigation network for the drawings is selected from the at least two types of navigation networks and the drawings are displayed. The drawings are manipulated using the mapped keys based on the selected navigation network, wherein the at least two types of networks include at least two of a row and column network, a flow chart network, a wiring diagram network, and a component location drawing navigation network.

The subset may then be used to generate a diagram of the subset of components from the portions of the connectivity data that satisfy the request. Thus, the method, system and computer program product are capable of efficiently creating subsets/families of components from electronic schematic diagrams because the portions of connectivity data that satisfy a request for a subset of components are automatically selected and a diagram of the selected components may be automatically generated.

An intelligent graphics file that allows a user to quickly and accurately find, view and navigate among the parts of an article depicted in a graphic and the corresponding textual information for the parts is automatically produced.

The method includes providing one or more identifiers for an assembly, the identifiers providing index to an assembly and component database. A plurality of components for the assembly is retrieved from the database based on the identifiers received. A list of component data, configuration data, location data and bundling data for each of the components, a plurality of schematic diagrams associated with each of the component and its inter-connection with other components within the assembly based on the identifiers are generated. The data generated for each of the components are organized and indexed to associate the identifiers with the assembly and related data of the components.
