A retrofit energization arrangement especially suitable for an aircraft wherein original factory-placed wiring can be reused in common bus form for plural new loads in order to avoid the expense and hazard of disassembling original wiring bundles for new conductor incorporation. Serviceable wiring possibly earlier retired in place or becoming unneeded from equipment removal can, by way of the invention, be used for plural diverse new loads including loads of disparate operating cycle and current requirements for example, even though energized via a common bus. In the disclosed apparatus both energizing current and load control signals are transmitted via the same electrical bus between control location and load areas of the aircraft where control decoding and energy tap-off occur, the latter by switch mode power supply if needed. Control signals of sinusoidal waveform, minimal electromagnetic and radio frequency interference character and limited existing bus filtering attenuation are disclosed; these may be embodied as the Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) or Continuous Tone Coded Squelch System, CTCSS, frequencies used in the radio communication art. Loads of differing types are disclosed as examples in the described embodiment of the invention; additional loads are feasible. Use of the invention in land vehicles, watercraft and building structures is also contemplated.

The pocket-forming flap is foldable about the second fold line over the back wall portion and is affixable thereto at at least one preselected location thereon, thereby forming a pocket between the back wall portion and the pocket-forming flap. The protective flap is foldable about the first fold line over the pocket-forming flap and is affixable thereto at at least one preselected location thereon. The second planar surface of the magnetic sheet includes mailing information printed thereon.

Plates of identical configuration are formed of relatively thin material and are assembled in stacked construction pairs, with alternating patterns of different corrugations being provided between spaced openings in each plate. Alternate plates in each stack provide corrugation patterns with transverse relationship assuring turbulence-inciting structure in both primary and secondary flow passages. Pairs of plates are formed by assembling the identical plates in back-to-back relationship to form a construction pair, with the pairs of plates being secured together by sealing only two surfaces of substantially uniform thickness of plate. The construction of the stack of plates is accomplished without necessity for provision of tubular inlet and outlet channels extending through the stack structure. The plates, being of identical configuration and construction, reduce the number of hydroform punch and dies required, facilitate continuous flow production, minimize tooling die upkeep, and minimize production halts due to die temperature-dimension changes.

The present invention relates to a flexible magnetic wafer seal for adhesive attachment to folded pieces, such as brochures, folded cards, self-mailers and postal mailers, which are generally made of card stock. One or more flexible magnetic wafer seals may be adhesively attached to the open edges of a folded piece to secure the open edges together, for example, as required during the mailing process. The magnetic wafer seal can then be broken, preferably along at least one line of weakness, allowing the piece to be unfolded and converting the magnetic wafer seal into at least two magnetic holders for securing a piece to a metal surface. The unfolded piece can then be secured to a metallic surface by placing the side of the piece with the magnetic holders against the metallic surface, thereby allowing the magnetic holders to engage the metal surface, holding the piece in place.
