摘要: An organ preservation system having; an organ chamber with a perfusate reservoir, a pump arranged to circulate perfusate, from the reservoir and passes the perfusate through a dialysis filter, oxygenator, and temperature and pressure sensors prior to entering the chamber where an organ is perfused. The organ rests on the platform such that perfusate leaving the organ flows into the perfusate reservoir. The dialysis filter having permeable tubes which allow perfusate constituents to be exchanged with dialysate flowing through the dialysis filter. The dialysate pass through an ion exchange resin removing selected constituents or waste products from the dialysate by absorption by the ion exchange resin. Following waste absorption, the dialysate is recycled to the dialyzer to again remove waste. Removing waste products from the perfusate by dialysis followed by removal of the waste products from the dialysate with the exchange resin, enables dialysate reuse for extended duration.

摘要: An exercise and therapy hand device consists of a glove for receiving a hand. The glove includes a palm portion, one or more finger portions for receiving a finger, a back portion, and a compressible substance that is coupled to the palm portion. Also included in the glove are one or more elastic members that span from the compressible substance to respective ones of the one or more finger portions. The compressible substance exercises the muscles of the hand that control the closing of the hand, while the one or more elastic members exercise the muscles of the hand that control the opening of the hand.

摘要: A cannula connects an organ with a perfusion system that monitors, treats, sustains and/or restores the viability of the organ and/or that transports and/or stores the organ. At least part of a cannula may be made of a soft elastomer to help avoid damage to the organ. In embodiments, the cannula includes a top portion, a bottom portion, a sealing ring and two compression straps. In embodiments, the cannula includes a top portion and a flexible bottom portion that may be attached to the top portion. In embodiments, part of the cannula is inserted directly into an artery and a suture is used to tie the artery in place. Also, the cannula may include an attachment feature that can be used to connect the cannula to an organ platform or chair. Various features of the cannula may allow a visual check for and venting of air bubbles in the cannula.
