Abstract:
A portable fan includes a casing having an air inlet and a first connector, and an air outlet having a second connector. A filter unit includes a third connector, which is substantially the same as the second connector, for co-operating with the first connector to removably connect the filter unit to the casing, a filter which is located upstream from the air inlet when the filter unit is connected to the casing, and a fourth connector, which is substantially the same as the first connector, for co-operating with the second connector to removably connect the air outlet to the filter unit. This can allow the air outlet to be connected either directly to the casing, or to an optional filter unit which is connected to the casing.
Abstract:
A fan assembly for creating an air current includes a bladeless fan assembly including a nozzle and a device for creating an air flow through the nozzle. The nozzle includes an interior passage and a mouth receiving the air flow from the interior passage. A Coanda surface located adjacent the mouth and over which the mouth is arranged to direct the air flow. The fan provides an arrangement producing an air current and a flow of cooling air created without requiring a bladed fan, that is, the air flow is created by a bladeless fan.

Abstract:
A fan assembly for creating an air current is described. The fan assembly includes a nozzle mounted on a base housing a device for creating an air flow through the nozzle. The nozzle includes an interior passage for receiving the air flow from the base, a mouth through which the air flow is emitted, the mouth being defined by facing surfaces of the nozzle, and spacers for spacing apart the facing surfaces of the nozzle. The nozzle extends substantially orthogonally about an axis to define an opening through which air from outside the fan assembly is drawn by the air flow emitted from the mouth. The fan provides an arrangement producing an air current and a flow of cooling air created without requiring a bladed fan. The spacers can provide for a reliable, reproducible nozzle of the fan assembly and performance of the fan assembly.
Abstract:
A method and kit to produce activated autologous platelet rich and platelet poor plasma (AAPRPP) and methods of use to treat pain. The method to produce AAPRPP generally comprising (1) obtaining whole blood from patient; (2) centrifuging whole blood in a collection tube; (3) extracting platelet rich and platelet poor plasma mixture from collection tube; and (4) transferring platelet rich and platelet poor plasma mixture to an activation tube containing at least one platelet aggregator and at least one platelet activator to obtain a resulting platelet concentration. The method to treat pain generally comprising producing AAPRPP and extracting contents of activation tube into a standard syringe then injecting AAPRPP at or near the nerve group responsible for the affected anatomical area.
Abstract:
A fan assembly for creating an air current includes a nozzle mounted on a base. The base comprises an outer casing, an impeller housing located within the outer casing, the impeller housing having an air inlet and an air outlet, an impeller located within the impeller housing and a motor for driving the impeller to create an air flow through the impeller housing. The nozzle includes an interior passage for receiving the air flow from the air outlet of the impeller housing and a mouth through which the air flow is emitted from the fan assembly.
Abstract:
A drying apparatus includes a casing and a cavity formed in the casing for receiving an object to be dried. A fan is located in the casing so as to be capable of creating an airflow, and a motor is provided in the casing for driving the fan. Ducting is provided for carrying the airflow from the fan to at least one opening arranged to emit the airflow into the cavity (12). The ducting includes at least one air duct having a wall in which perforations are provided, and a layer of sound-absorbing material is located on the external surface of the wall so as to cover the perforations. The invention is particularly suitable for use in hand dryers.
