Abstract: A fire protection system is provided for a space having a pitched roof constructed of structural members extending from a ridgeline to an eave, with respective channels therebetween. A first row of sprinklers is mounted to a first branch line extending generally parallel to the ridgeline. Each sprinkler is positioned within a respective channel, with consecutive sprinklers spaced apart having no less than one, and no more than five, channels therebetween. A second row of sprinklers, downslope from the first row, is mounted to a second branch line extending generally parallel to the first branch line. Each sprinkler thereof is positioned within a respective channel, with consecutive second row sprinklers spaced apart as in the first row. Each second row sprinkler is also placed within a different channel from each first row sprinkler. A farthest number of channels between a first row sprinkler and a second row sprinkler is three.

Abstract: A spray wand for use with a chemical or chemical formulation in solid form. The spray wand has a spray wand body having a hollow tube with an angled wand spray end, a spray end selector attached to the angled wand spray end, a wand hose end screen inserted into or otherwise attached to the hollow tube of the spray wand body, and a wand hose end connected to the spray wand body. The wand hose end has a wand hose end valve for control of water flow from a hose. A refill cartridge having a swirl chamber may be attached to the hollow tube. The refill cartridge has external channels or grooves on its external surface as a water rinse feature for the spray wand.

Abstract: Systems and methods for containing fluid splash include using a fluid flow spaced from a vessel and/or fluid surface to effectively trap materials from a fluid stream flowing through the fluid flow. The fluid flow creates a spray envelope in connection with the fluid surface and/or vessel and substantially prevents droplets of the fluid stream from exiting the vessel. The fluid flow is created by allowing a supply fluid to flow through a nozzle oriented to cast a spray pattern into the vessel and/or into contact with the fluid surface. The fluid flow may be selectively activated and deactivated and/or be automatically (e.g., light or motion) activated and deactivated.

Abstract: A paint spray nozzle is provided for a paint spray system. The nozzle includes a single-piece body having a conduit portion. The conduit portion includes a first surface defining a first passage that terminates at an orifice along a longitudinal axis and a second surface that defines a second passage along the longitudinal axis. The second passage is fluidly connected to the orifice. The orifice is configured to direct the paint to flow along a flow path through the second passage. The second surface defines an inlet cross-sectional width positioned at the orifice and an outlet cross-sectional width positioned at an outlet. The outlet cross-sectional width is larger than the inlet cross-sectional width, such that the paint that deposits on the second surface is positioned relative to the longitudinal axis to be re-absorbed into the flow path of the paint.
