    摘要: Methods for creating apertures in a layer on a back side of a substrate that includes a microlens array on a front side thereof include curving the substrate into a cylindrical surface segment that defines an axis, so that the microlens array on the front side of the substrate faces the axis. A pulsed laser beam is scanned from the axis circumferentially along the cylindrical surface segment, to pass through the microlens array on the front side of the substrate and into the layer on the back side of the substrate to create the apertures, while simultaneously translating the substrate and/or the scanned pulsed laser beam axially relative to one another. Related apparatus and microlens array products are also disclosed.

    摘要: A system and method for mechanically and electrically connecting an electronic component and a circuit substrate using a Zero Insertion Force (ZIF) socket. The ZIF socket having a plurality of press-fit contact assemblies and a housing with middle plate that is selectively movable between a contact and non-contact position. Each contact assembly being secured to the ZIF socket housing by press-fitting the lower portion of the contact assembly such that each contact assembly is anchored to an aperture in the housing bottom by compressive force. The ZIF socket is mounted to the circuit substrate and the electronic component is mounted on to the ZIF socket. The contact assemblies of the ZIF socket are selectively movable between a contact and non-contact position. The press-fit contact assemblies form a seal to prevent solder wick-up.

    摘要: New ester-containing quaternary pyridinium salts are provided having advantageous utility as charge control agents in electrostatographic toners and developers. The salts have the structure: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is alkyl or aryl, X is --CH.sub.2 --.sub.n, Y is hydrogen, alkyl, alkoxy or halogen, Z.crclbar. is an anion and n is an integer from 1 to 6.Such ester-containing quaternary pyridinium salts also cause toner particles containing them to display lower fusing temperatures and improved paper adhesion indexes.

    摘要: A tool for holding tungsten electrodes for sharpening by an abrasive wheel has a generally cylindrical body with an axial bore at each end for receiving an electrode. The bores have different diameters for use with two sizes of electrodes. The bore is sized to provide a gap between the electrode and the wall of the bore so as to allow the electrode to rotate when held against the wheel. The tool enables the electrode to be held against the grinding wheel at an angle as required for producing a sharp point.
