Abstract: Example implementations include a method, apparatus and computer-readable medium for event monitoring at a cloud service, comprising receiving, from a control panel coupled with a plurality of control sensors within a supervised premises, a plurality of event messages corresponding to events detected by the plurality of control sensors within the supervised premises. The implementations further include generating a status simulation for the control panel based on the plurality of event messages, the status simulation representing a current status of the control panel. Additionally, the implementations further include creating a subscription of a client service to the control panel based on a request from the client service. Additionally, the implementations further include transmitting, to the client service based on the subscription, status information for the control panel derived from the status simulation.

Abstract: A gunshot detection system provides anti-tampering protection for gunshot sensor units and a control panel. The control panel monitors for tampering events, including monitoring for changes to configuration settings. When the settings are changed, even by an authorized user, the control panel generates a tampering alert and sends the alert to an operator of the control panel and/or administrators for the gunshot detection system. A similar notification might also occur when a sensor is taken offline or when an anti-tamper sensor on a housing of the gunshot sensor unit detects manipulation or opening of the housing. The control panel also monitors for tampering using machine certificates associated with the gunshot sensor units. In one example, the gunshot sensor units sign event data using the machine certificates and an arbitrary reference number known to the control panel. The control panel then verifies the signed event data to detect tampering events.

Abstract: A voice alarm notification device of a fire alarm system, comprising: a network port for receiving an alarm notification signal; an audio file library in which the audio files include audio voice message files; a speaker; a processor unit connected to the network port for processing an alarm notification signal and for selecting one of the audio files from the library to be played through the speaker; and a Bluetooth module for establishing a Bluetooth communication link to the voice alarm notification device, via which link an audio voice file can be received. The device is arranged to add the audio voice file received via the Bluetooth communication link to the library so as to be available for selection by the processor unit when it receives an alarm notification signal.

Abstract: A gunshot detection system detects shooting events within a premises and interacts with building management systems installed within the same premises to guide occupants to safety and/or obstruct or trap an active shooter. Gunshot sensor units detect the gunshots and generate event information based on the detected gunshots. A shooting event response module generates and sends building management instructions to the building management systems. In response, distributed devices of the building management systems perform effect changes within the premises according to the functionality of the distributed devices (e.g. locking/unlocking doors, turning off lights, flashing strobe lights). A control panel of the gunshot detection system presents a graphical user interface for presenting response options and receiving selections of response actions to be performed by the building management systems. The shooting even response module also receives gunshot and building management event data and generates recommendation information based on the event data.

Abstract: A method for determining lithium battery passivation starts by applying a load across a lithium battery at the start of a test interval. Measurements of the battery's voltage are taken after applying the load, and then again periodically during the test interval. A final measurement of the battery's voltage at the end of the test interval. The state of the battery is then determined based on the first and final measurements, and at least one of the periodic measurements.
