摘要： A mobility system for the visually impaired has a removable data processing module attached to a generally elongated collapsible pole. The pole has a proximity sensor located close to a pole first end and a second proximity sensor located a pole second end. The pole has a fingerprint scanner located close to the pole first end. The system has a data processing module that has a microprocessor, a power switch, a power supply, a charging port, a data port, a microphone, and a speaker located within the module housing. The microprocessor has a global positioning system component. The data processing module can be attached to the collapsible pole or carried by the user via a strap or a clip. The fingerprint scanner can turn on or off the system based on the fingerprint of the user.

摘要： A support pin system (10) for fastening nuclear reactor guide tube flanges (14) to a nuclear reactor upper core plate (12) includes a support pin (16) having a lower portion (20) frictionally disposed within the upper core plate (12), while an upper section (24) is disposed within a through-bore (22) of the guide tube flange (14). The support pin (16) includes a threaded region (30) upon which is threadedly mounted a nut (32). In order to prevent retrograde rotation of the nut (32) relative to the support pin (16), a locking cap (46) is mounted upon the nut (32) and support pin (16) such that first crimped sections (48) are engaged within apertures (44) defined within the nut (32), while second crimped sections (54) are engaged within longitudinal grooves (50) defined upon the external surface of the support pin (16).

摘要： A tape dispenser comprises a cylindrical hub for rotatably supporting a roll of tape, and a dispensing arm extends radially outwardly of the hub and has a tape guide on the bottom thereof by which tape is arched concavely toward an underlying surface as the tape is displaced from the dispenser and applied to the underlying surface. A brake arrangement on the dispenser is operable manually by a user to stop or otherwise control rotation of a tape roll during a dispensing operation.

摘要： A procedure and machine for cleaning the anodes of electrolytic tanks, said procedure comprising the operations of mechanically breaking the deposits on the surfaces of the anodes, detaching and separating the deposits, once broken, and then subjecting the plate of the anodes to a flattening operation. The procedure is carried out with a machine which includes at least one pair of cutting rollers (1), nozzles for supplying jets of water under pressure (2) situated above said rollers (1), two flattening plates (3) with flat opposing surfaces, and means of suspending and raising the anodes (13) between the rollers (1), nozzles (2) and plates (3). The plates (3) may be provided on their opposing surfaces with cutting grooves.

摘要： A bladed implement such as a knife, has a flexible blade extending from a handle. The blade can be rigidified for use by a series of slides which run along a slot in the blade and which can be forced into and held in end to end contact by an operating mechanism in the handle. The endmost slide engages a stop at the distal end of the slot. When the operating mechanism is released, the slides are free to separate and the flexibility of the blade is restored.

摘要： A cathode for the electrolytic deposition of non-ferrous metals has a plate (1) which, starting from at least one of its vertical edges, is provided on both sides with coinciding zones (5) of dielectric material. The dielectric material is located where a number of penetrators that cause the upper edges of the deposited layers of zinc to detach contact the plate. The plate (1) is provided with a slot (7) that coincides with upper regions of the dielectric material. The slot has a flat piece (5) of dielectric material in it, equal in thickness to the plate (1) and with surfaces which are flat and coplanar with those of the plate (1). The piece (5) and the slot (7) are provided with mutually cooperating portions that prevent the movement of the piece in any direction.

摘要： A stencil in sheet or roll form that is adapted for stenciling large surfaces such as walls or ceilings, particularly when those surfaces are of a delicate nature. The stencil is a laminar structure including an outer layer of a absorbent flexible material such as paper permanently adhered to a flexible barrier layer. On the side of the barrier layer opposite the outer layer is a pressure sensitive adhesive layer that is fixed to the barrier layer, yet temporarily and releasably adheres the stencil to the surface to be decorated. The pressure sensitive adhesive may be covered with a release liner that is easily removed to expose the adhesive for application of the stencil sheet to the surface, and that prior to being removed, permits the stencil sheets to be formed conveniently into a roll or stacked without adhering to itself or one another.
