    摘要: A reel clamp for a cradle assembly is disclosed. The reel clamp comprises two pintle assemblies mounted in axial alignment, one of such pintle assembly being axially movable with respect to the other. Each pintle assembly includes a bearing housing, a reel supporting member rotatably mounted in the bearing housing and means for securing the bearing housing to one of the side frame members of the cradle assembly. Cam means are associated with the movable pintle assembly for moving the bearing housing of such movable pintle assembly along the axis of the reel for clamping the reel between the two reel supporting members.

In accordance with another aspect of the present invention, the flashlight includes electrode connections which prevent the conduction of electrical energy from batteries which are improperly aligned within the flashlight. In another embodiment, the lamp holder assembly includes a lamp socket having a lamp guide which provides a guide for installing lamp bulbs into the lamp socket and also provides a secure position for the lamp bulb. In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, the flashlight includes a lamp holder assembly which includes a notch capable of receiving and holding a spare lamp. In another embodiment, the lamp holder assembly further includes a fluorescent coating or additive which illuminates light in otherwise dark conditions, thereby facilitating lamp replacement in the less than desirable light conditions.

    摘要: Apparatus is provided for continuous manufacture of insulated conductors and includes an extruder and an elongated chamber having a first curing section immediately following the extruder and a second cooling section following the first section. Both sections are substantially filled with a same liquid medium which remains liquid under both curing and cooling conditions. Means are provided for continuously advancing an electric conductor through the extruder wherein a coat of a curable insulating material is applied thereon and then into and through the chamber filled with the liquid medium. The apparatus further includes means for maintaining the liquid medium in the chamber under sufficient pressure to produce void free insulation, and means for maintaining the liquid medium in the first section of the chamber at a temperature at which the insulating material is cured, and in the second section of the chamber at a cooler temperature to cool the cured insulating material. The system is simple, efficient and inexpensive. It is also easily adaptable to continuous plant operations in the wire and cable industry.
