摘要： A permeable mass of remediable materials is subjected to biotic or abiotic treatment in a refillable containment in order to change the physical and/or chemical composition of the mass and/or contaminants within it by manipulating the biotic and abiotic in the subsurface environment. It is an adaptation of the SBS Close Lance system for decontamination of polluted soil. Such system when fitted to a refillable containment is used to compost and decontaminate remediable materials by promoting and exploiting biotic and abiotic activity. Ex-situ treatment of remediable materials including soils, refuse, wastes, drilling muds and minerals are possible as is composting of waste prior to alternate use by recycling.
