    Abstract: Techniques are described for predicting a wide area network (WAN) issue based on detection of service provider connection swapping. A cloud-based network management system (NMS) obtains connection event data for one or more network access server (NAS) devices at a site, where each event included in the connection event data comprises a connection or disconnection event of a connection session provided by a service provider. The NMS detects a number of connection swaps in the connection event data over a time window, where a connection swap includes a change from a first connection session provided by a first service provider to a second connection session provided by a second service provider. Based on the detected number of connection swaps satisfying a threshold, the NMS predicts a root cause of the connection swaps as a WAN issue and generates a notification of the predicted root cause of the connection swaps.

    Abstract: An optical communication device includes an optical transmitter configured to transmit data over an optical link. The optical communication device also includes a memory having a configuration location of one or more bytes, and one or more registers storing a default transmit power value. The optical communication device also includes a controller configured to access the configuration location. In response to determining that no valid transmit power value is indicated by information stored in the configuration location, the controller accesses the one or more registers to read the default transmit power value, and sets a transmit power level of the optical transmitter to the default transmit power value.

    Abstract: A disaggregated broadband network gateway (DBNG) control plane system may receive an association setup request message from a DBNG user plane device, wherein the association setup request message is received via a state control interface between the DBNG control plane system and the DBNG user plane device. The DBNG control plane system may determine, based on the association setup request message, one or more capabilities of the DBNG user plane device and may thereby cause one or more additional state control interfaces to be established between the DBNG control plane system and the DBNG user plane device. The DBNG control plane system and the DBNG control plane system may communicate messages associated with a first message type via the state control interface and may communicate messages associated with a second message type via at least one of the one or more additional state control interfaces.

    Abstract: A mixed pitch method of placing pads in a ball grid array (BGA) package having a BGA substrate and a plurality of connectors arranged in an array and connected via the pads to the BGA substrate. Selected pairs of the pads are placed on the BGA substrate at a distance defined by a first pitch P1.     Abstract: A system may identify a security intent policy model associated with an initial time. The system may generate one or more delta snapshots that respectively indicate one or more incremental changes to the security intent policy model at times subsequent to the initial time. The system may determine that the system is to deploy an updated version of the security intent policy model to a device and may thereby determine a previous deployment time at which the system deployed a previous version of the security intent policy model to the device. The system may generate, based on the one or more delta snapshots and the previous deployment time, a cumulative delta snapshot, and may thereby update a low-level security intent policy model associated with the device. The system may generate, based on the low-level security intent policy model, device-level security configuration information for the device.
