Abstract: A method for determining a network access level for a user equipment is provided. In the method, a residence parameter of the user equipment on a target edge computing node of a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) system is obtained. The target edge computing node is one of a plurality of network levels in the V2X system. The one of the plurality of network levels of the target edge computing node is determined as the network access level of the user equipment when the residence parameter meets an access condition of the target edge computing node, so that the user equipment is configured to access a core network of the V2X system through any edge computing node belonging to the determined network access level during movement of the user equipment.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for generating a unique ID for a sensor in a network. Once the sensor is installed on a component of the network, the sensor can send attributes of the sensor to a control server of the network. The attributes of the sensor can include at least one unique identifier of the sensor or the host component of the sensor. The control server can determine a hash value using a one-way hash function and a secret key, send the hash value to the sensor, and designate the hash value as a sensor ID of the sensor. In response to receiving the sensor ID, the sensor can incorporate the sensor ID in subsequent communication messages. Other components of the network can verify the validity of the sensor using a hash of the at least one unique identifier of the sensor and the secret key.

The present technology relates techniques that enable user-adjustable application dependency mapping of a network system. Abstract: A method provides for receiving network traffic from a host having a host IP address and operating in a data center, and analyzing a malware tracker for IP addresses of hosts having been infected by a malware to yield an analysis. When the analysis indicates that the host IP address has been used to communicate with an external host infected by the malware to yield an indication, the method includes assigning a reputation score, based on the indication, to the host. The method can further include applying a conditional policy associated with using the host based on the reputation score. The reputation score can include a reduced reputation score from a previous reputation score for the host.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, obtaining for a first path carrying first network traffic a corresponding first alternate path; obtaining for a second path carrying second network traffic a corresponding second alternate path, at least a first portion of the first alternate path being the same as at least a second portion of the second alternate path; responsive to a first detected failure on the first path, causing communication of first re-directed network traffic via the first alternate path instead of via the first path; responsive to a second detected failure on the second path, detecting whether total traffic, including the first re-directed network traffic, on the first portion of the first alternate path meets a threshold; responsive to the detected meeting of the threshold, obtaining for the second path a corresponding back-up alternate path; and causing communication of second re-directed network traffic via the back-up alternative path instead of via the second path. Other embodiments are disclosed.
