    摘要: A repeater for a multibeam communications satellite combines the features of coaxial channel interbeam switching and subchannelization of some of the channels. In one embodiment described, the input radio-frequency signals from the input beams are fed through the input multiplexers to form channels. Some, but not all, channels are subsequently subchannelized for interbeam switching. In another embodiment of the invention, a portion of the incoming radio frequency signals bypasses the input demultiplexer and is filtered for noise-limiting reasons, converted down to an intermediate frequency and then subchannelized using SAW filters. The specification also teaches that digital techniques can be used to obtain the same results. Especially in the case of satellites with a large number of beams and a large number of channels, it is not necessary to have full interbeam switching of all the subchannels derived from one channel: instead, the specification proposes the use of parallel configurations of smaller, less complex switching networks.

    摘要: A device, system, and method are directed towards providing content over a network. A test definition is defined to include at least one group of visitors and/or a range associated with the group. The test definition is then received. A plurality of requests for a first content is received from the same browser. Each of the plurality of requests includes a previously generated value (PGV)/cookie. For each of the plurality of requests, a fast-hash is performed on the same PGV/cookie to generate an identifier (e.g., number). It is then determined whether to provide a second content instead of the first content based on whether the identifier is in the range associated with the at least one group of visitors. The determination may also be based on a URL filter, a browser type, operating system type, a time-range, or an argument-value pair. The first or second content is then provided.

    摘要: In accordance with the teachings described herein, a side mounted wireless headset is provided. The wireless headset may be configured to communicate with a remote device over a short range wireless link. The wireless headset may include an eartip extending from a headset body that is configured to be inserted into an ear canal when the wireless headset is positioned on a user's head. The eartip, when inserted into the ear canal, may occlude the ear canal and secure the wireless headset to the user's head. An earhook may be attached to the headset body and may be configured to extend around an outer surface of the user's ear to further secure the wireless headset to the user's head.
