    摘要: A therapeutically effective antipsychotic preparation comprising a fused cyclic compound for the treatment of diseases involving the serotonergic pathway having the formula (I) or salts thereof: ##STR1## wherein both of A and B are carbonyl groups, or one represents a methylene group and the other a carbonyl group, Z represents a sulfur atom, or a nitrogen atom which may be substituted, or a methylene group, R represents an aromatic or heterocylcic group, which may be substituted, X represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 lower alkyl group, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 lower alkoxy group, a C.sub.7 -C.sub.9 arylalkoxy group, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 lower acyloxy group, a C.sub.7 -C.sub.10 arylcarbonyloxy group, a hydroxy group, a nitro group or an ester group, and n is an integer of 2 to 10.

    摘要: A therapeutic agent for alleviating disorders caused by nerve cell degeneration in the brain which contains a cyclopropachromen derivative represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein n is an integer of from 2 to 5;the carbon atom in the --(CH.sub.2).sub.n -- moiety may be optionally substituted with a methyl group or a hydroxyl group;R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, a phenyl group or an aralkyl group having 7 to 10 carbon atoms; or alternatively R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 form together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached, a morpholino group, a thiomorpholino group, a pyrrolidinyl group, a piperidinyl group, a homopiperidinyl group, a piperazinyl group, a homopiperazinyl group, an N-alkylpiperazinyl group, N-alkylhomopiperazinyl group, an N-hydroxyalkylpiperazinyl group or a pyrrolidonyl group or alternatively R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 form together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached, and further a carbon atom to which said nitrogen atom is bound, a pyrrolitidinyl group;A.sup.1 and A.sup.2 independently represent a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a halogen atom, an optionally halogenated alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, an optionally substituted alkoxy group, an acyloxy group, a carbamyloxy group or an optionally substituted carboxyl group;and B.sup.1 and B.sup.2 independently represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a nitro group, a cyano group, an optionally halogenated alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms or an optionally substituted carboxyl group;or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient, together with a pharmaceutical carrier or adjuvant.
