    摘要: In one embodiment of the present invention, a chromaticity converting device is realized which can appropriately correct a shift in hue caused by a leakage of green light from a blue color filter when a color filter having improved transmittance is used to increase luminance. The chromaticity converting device serves to perform chromaticity conversion with respect to an RGB signal, converts a gradation of G data so that the gradation of the G data decreases in a predetermined region A1 around B within a range of chromaticities expressible by the RGB signal, and converts the gradation of G data so that the gradation of G data increases in a predetermined region A2 around Y, which is a complementary color of B, within the range of chromaticities.

    摘要: In a liquid crystal display device (10), it is determined whether or not a panel temperature (Tp) sensed by a temperature sensor (16) is higher than a predetermined temperature. As the result, when the panel temperature (Tp) is the predetermined temperature or less, an input video signal (V1) is output to a digital gamma conversion part (22). The digital gamma conversion part (22) performs gamma conversion using an LUT (12) on the video signal (V1). The LUT (12) to be used for the gamma conversion stores a result of gamma conversion of obtaining brightness by multiplying brightness corresponding to low gradation-side input gradations by a predetermined magnification. This gamma conversion is allowed to enhance the brightness corresponding to the low gradation-side input gradations of the video signal (V1), and therefore is allowed to improve a response speed of a liquid crystal. Moreover, when the panel temperature (Tp) is higher than the predetermined temperature, the response speed of the liquid crystal is fast. Therefore, the video signal (V1) is output to a timing control part (24) without being subjected to the gamma conversion.

The first and second output tones are determined based on a characteristic of the input tone and the center of amplitude of a voltage to be outputted in response to the input tone in AC driving. This allows providing a liquid crystal panel driving device capable of easily performing Ω correction with respect to each liquid crystal panel.

    摘要: The present invention relates to liquid crystal display devices employing the interlaced mode.A normally black mode is employed as a light control method. A source driver subjects analog voltage signals (da, db) to polarity inversion every two horizontal scanning periods, the analog voltage signals being applied to source bus lines as driving video signals (Sa, Sb). A gate driver sequentially drives gate bus lines each being selected for one horizontal scanning. In an output portion (black signal insertion circuit) of the source driver, a blacking voltage is written by short-circuiting adjacent source bus lines after a lapse of one horizontal scanning period since the polarity inversion of the analog voltage signals (da, db) until the next polarity inversion of the analog voltage signals (da, db).
