摘要: A polymer battery which comprises a negative electrode comprising a carbon material as an active material, an electrolyte layer and a positive electrode comprising a chalcogenide containing lithium as an active material, characterized in that the electrolyte layer comprises an ion-conducting compound and a polymer fiber, and the carbon material comprises the graphite particles having amorphous carbon adhered on the surface thereof. The polymer battery is capable of preventing the decomposition of the ion-conductive material by graphite particles.

摘要: A battery equipped with a cathode composite (2), an anode composite or an anode (4), an electrolyte layer (3) and a sealing material (6); characterized by that a material such as an element belonging to VIII-group of periodic table such as palladium etc., for example, is included in an inside of the battery. Gas produced in the battery inside is absorbed to the above material or added to a residual reactive double bond in an ion-conductive high-molecular compound by the above material, so that a rise of battery inside pressure due to gas is restrained and expansion and bursting of the battery are thus prevented.

摘要: A lithium secondary battery which comprises: a negative electrode comprising as an active material a carbonaceous material capable of electrochemically holding/releasing lithium; a positive electrode comprising as an active material a lithium chalcogenide; and polymer electrolyte layers united respectively with the negative electrode and the positive electrode. The polymer electrolyte layers comprise an ionically conductive polymer matrix holding a nonaqueous electrolytic solution. They are obtained by crosslinking and polymerizing a liquid mixture of a monomeric precursor for the ionically conductive polymer and the nonaqueous electrolytic solution respectively on the negative electrode and the positive electrode using different polymerization initiators.

摘要: The improved battery for reversible operation at ambient temperature comprises a negative electrode, a composite positive electrode which is composed of an ion-conductive high-molecular weight compound that has at least one ionic compound dissolved therein and that has a polyether structure and ion conductivity, an electrochemically active material and, optionally, an electron conductive material, and an electrolyte which is made of an ion-conductive high-molecular weight compound that has at least one ionic compound dissolved therein and that has a polyether structure and ion conductivity. The improvement is such that said composite positive electrode and said electrolyte are formed by exposure to an active radiation such as ultraviolet rays or ionizing radiation. Thanks to the improvement in electrolyte and positive electrode, the battery can be fabricated with great ease, is entirely free from the possibility of electrolyte leakage and has high long-term reliability and safety.

摘要: A lithium polymer secondary cell having a negative electrode, a positive electrode and, arranged between the electrodes, a polymer electrolyte layer, characterized in that the cell has been subjected to a heat treatment at a temperature of 40 to 60° C. after the assembly thereof. The polymer cell is freed of or is reduced in the adverse effect of a residual monomer and initiator on the performance of the cell. The polymer electrolyte is formed by cross-linking polymerization of a precursor monomer for an ion conducting polymer in a non-aqueous electrolyte, and the residual monomer and initiator contained therein is consumed by the heat treatment.

摘要: A lithium secondary battery which comprises a negative electrode, a positive electrode, and disposed therebetween a polymer electrolyte comprising an ionically conductive polymer. The polymer electrolyte has a two-layer structure composed of a positive-electrode-side layer and a negative-electrode-side layer. The polymer electrolyte on the positive-electrode side contains a nonaqueous electrolytic solution containing a lithium salt in a higher concentration than that in the polymer electrolyte on the negative-electrode side. The battery is improved in charge/discharge cycling characteristics and high-load discharge characteristics.
