    摘要: A thin film magnetic head, in which: a magnetic gap thereof is disposed slantingly relative to a direction orthogonal to a scanning direction of the head corresponding to an azimuth angle; an upper magnetic core layer is positioned on a leading side preceding a lower magnetic core layer in a scanning direction of the head, a protrusion on the lower magnetic core layer has an inclined side surface inclined at an angle equal to or greater than the azimuth angle at least on one side surface in a direction of a track width thereof, and at least one edge of a side adjacent to the magnetic gap of a protrusion on the upper magnetic core layer is aligned on a line drawn extending from the inclined side surface of the lower magnetic core layer, thereby suppressing occurrence of side erasing in a magnetic recording medium during azimuth recording.

    摘要: An aircraft engine run-up hangar comprises a building defining a test chamber capable of receiving an aircraft therein, an air inlet structure, and an exhaust structure. The air inlet structure is formed in a front end part of a roof structure corresponding to a front end part of the building, the exhaust structure is connected to a rear end part of the building and defines an exhaust passage extending obliquely upward from the back end of the building, and one or a plurality of current deflecting members are disposed near a lower end of the air inlet structure to deflect air currents flowing through the air inlet structure into the building toward an aircraft housed in the building. A current-straightening structure is incorporated into the air inlet structure. A current-straightening space is defined under the air inlet structure. A first current-straightening member, a second current-straightening member, a third current-straightening member and a fourth current-straightening member are disposed in a region in and around the current-straightening space.

    摘要: A thin film magnetic recording head comprises a substrate, a first magnetic core formed on the substrate, a second magnetic core having the front end face with a magnetic gap with respect to the front end face of the first magnetic core, and a coil for developing magnetic flux between the front end portions of the magnetic cores. A width of the second magnetic core at the front end portion thereof is chosen to be smaller than that of the first magnetic core. The second magnetic core is at a leading position relative to the second magnetic core in a traveling direction on a recording medium. In such configuration, it is possible to reduce side erase due to recording magnetic flux fringing and to achieve high density of magnetic recording while maintaining the conventional fabrication steps for the thin film magnetic recording head, thereby avoiding the problem in the fabrication.

    摘要: A coil layer, and a magnetic layer covering the coil layer via an insulating layer are provided. The magnetic layer comprises at least two magnetic films in lamination. There is adopted an inductive element including a combination of magnetic films in which, for any two magnetic films forming the magnetic layer, the value of product of multiplication of magnetic permeability and thickness of a magnetic film close to the coil layer is smaller than the value of product of multiplication of magnetic permeability and thickness of a magnetic film distant from the coil layer. This inductive element permits improvement of the superposed DC current characteristic and prevention of a decrease in inductance because magnetic fluxes generated from the coil layer are induced to a magnetic film distant from the coil layer.
