摘要： An image processing apparatus according to an aspect of the invention includes a first storage unit, a second storage unit, a control unit, and a construction unit. A program of at least one module including a buffer module among modules of an image processing unit is stored in the first storage unit. An image processing program and a shared library can be additionally stored in the second storage unit. The image processing program is used to perform image processing and a program of a module generation unit is registered in the shared library. The control unit instructs at least one module in the image processing unit to perform image processing during construction of the image processing unit. The construction unit constructs the image processing unit.

摘要： An image processing apparatus has an image processing section having modules and a storage resource management unit. The storage resource management unit determines whether or not a necessary capacity of a storage resource is equal to or less than a remaining amount of a memory when a module needs to be allocated with the storage resource, allocates the secured memory as the storage resource to the module when the capacity is equal to or less than the remaining amount or, when the capacity is larger than the remaining amount, secures a storage region of an external storage apparatus and allocates the storage region as the storage resource, or writes data written in a memory allocated to another module in the storage region and allocates the memory previously allocated to the other module as the storage resource to the module.

摘要： An image processing device including a storage section, a parallel processing controller, a sequential processing controller, and a selection section which selectively operates the two control sections. The parallel processing controller connects one or more of the image processing modules such that first buffer modules are connected at least one of preceding and following each image processing module, to formulate a first image processing section, and controls such that individual image processing modules perform image processing in parallel with one another. The first buffer modules perform exclusive access control. The sequential processing controller connects one or more of the image processing modules such that second buffer modules are connected at least one of preceding and following each image processing module, to formulate a second image processing section, and controls such that the individual image processing modules perform image processing sequentially. The second buffer modules do not perform exclusive access control.

The red-eye candidate detection section detects a red-eye candidate that can be estimated to be a red-eye, by identifying a feature of the pupil that has a region displayed red from among features of an image. The red-eye pair specification section specifies the red-eye candidate as a pair of a right red-eye candidate equivalent to a right eye and a left red-eye candidate equivalent to a left eye, using information on a face region obtained from the image. The isolated red-eye candidate check section checks whether an isolated red-eye candidate, detected by the red-eye candidate detection section but not specified as the pair by the red-eye pair specification section, is a true red-eye.

Plural image processing units cause the computational units to execute image processing on image information. A section number acquisition unit acquires a number of sections for sectioning the plural image processing units into groups. A sectioning unit sections the plural image processing units by causing the image processing units to belong to the respective groups based on the number of sections and the order of the image processing. A sequential storage processing unit receives requests for storage of the image information from image processing units belonging to the same group, and sequentially executes processing of the requests without performing exclusive access control. An exclusive access storage processing unit receives requests for storage of the image information from image processing units belonging to different groups, and executes processing of the requests while performing exclusive access control.
