    摘要: A spark-ignition engine comprises a plug hole (13) formed in a cylinder head (2), an ignition plug (10) and a plug cap (9) of the type integral with an ignition coil, which is attached to the ignition plug (10) as it is inserted into the plug hole (13). In this spark-ignition engine, the plug hole (13) is arranged at a position outside a head cover (5) in the cylinder head (2), a head surface (2a) of which is opened to provide the plug hole (13) and has a plug-cap attaching flange (11) attached thereto, and the plug-cap attaching flange (11) is formed with an extending cylinder-portion (15A) having an extension-hole (15) communicated with the plug hole (13). The plug cap (9), as it is inserted from the extension hole (15A) into the plug hole (13), has a coil portion (9C) fixed to the extending cylinder-portion (15).

    摘要: An image-reading device includes a document-supporting base, a document-pressing member, a reading unit, a controlling unit, and a determining unit. The document-supporting base has a transparent member on which a document is placed. The document-pressing member is disposed on the document-supporting base so as to cover the transparent member. The document-pressing member is capable of opening and closing on the document-supporting base. The reading unit has a light source and capable of reading an image from the document placed on the transparent member while the light source irradiates light on the document. The controlling unit is configured to control the reading unit to execute a first scanning operation to output image signals for the image on the document while the light source is lit, and a second scanning operation to output image signals for the image on the document while the light source is not lit. The determining unit is configured to determine whether outside light has penetrated the document-supporting base based on the image signals for the second scanning operation outputted from the reading unit.

The control unit determines based on a determination by the first determining unit whether the transmitting unit is allowed to transmit the image data or not.

    摘要: A V-shaped, air-cooled engine has a lubricant pump located in the lower portion of the crankcase, and at least partly immersed in the engine lubricating oil so that oil is contained therein at all times. Lubricating oil is pumped to the cylinders through internal passages in the crankcase, and through annular passages between the valve push rods and their tubular housings. Lubricant return passages lead through the cooling fins provided on the cylinders, so that cooling air flowing over the cylinder fins serves to cool the lubricating oil.

A desired destination is designated by designating a desired abbreviated number contained in a facsimile number list which contains abbreviated numbers and respectively corresponding facsimile numbers. A predetermined operation is applied to a facsimile number corresponding to the desired abbreviated number to obtain a first operated value. Then, the desired abbreviated number and the first operated value are stored. The predetermined operation is applied again to a facsimile number corresponding to the desired abbreviated number as stored to obtain a second operated value after the transmission instruction is acquired. Whether the second operated value coincides with the second operated value is judged, and transmission of the subject data is aborted if the first operated value does not coincide with the second operated value.
