摘要: The process frame body has the guide portion, and the development device has the to-be-guided shaft. When the process frame body is unattached to the apparatus main body, the guide portion of the development device is absent, thus preventing proper attachment and positioning of the development device. The convex engagement portion is formed integrally with the development device so as to jut into the attachment path for the process frame body. This prevents attachment of the process frame body when the development device is attached first. If users try to attach the process frame body after attachment of the development device, the convex engagement portion interferes with the process frame body, thus preventing attachment of the process frame body.

摘要: The object of the present invention is to provide a method of packaging a developer cartridge especially for use in the image-forming of the electrophotographic process, the method by which the operativity of users can be improved and the pollution due to the sealing member of the developer cartridge can be prevented. The object of the present invention is achieved by fixing a free end of the above sealing member held between the sealing portions of the packing bag when the packing bag is hermetically sealed. With this, the sealing member is pulled off in accordance with the developer cartridge being drawn out from the bag when it is used. When the whole part of the developer cartridge is drawn out, the sealing member is completely pulled off, and is left inside the packing bag.

摘要: A developing device for developing a toner image on a cylindrical electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a toner container which extends perpendicularly to the direction of the photoreceptor and a toner transporting device for moving the toner supplied from the container in the direction of the axis of the photoreceptor. The toner transporting device and the container are detachably attachable to each other and a normally closed shutter is provided at the opening through which toner can be dropped from the container into the toner transporting device. The shutter can be automatically opened when a toner transporting unit having a shutter-opening mechanism is attached to it.

摘要: It is an object of the invention to provide a radio remote controller system that, when power saving for a radio remote controller is realized by intermittently setting a data receivable period in the radio remote controller, can easily and flexibly change a length of a period for making it impossible to receive the radio data and reduce power consumption of the radio remote controller. A master set connected to a water heater main body by wire transmits monitor data G(G1, G2, G3) indicating an operation state of the water heater main body, which include transmission time information indicating the next time (t14 at G1, and t17 at G2) of transmission of the monitor data G, to a slave set serving as a radio remote controller. The slave set, which has received the monitor data G, comes into a “standby state” (slave set Rx and slave set Tx are OFF), in which power consumption is smaller than “data receivable state” (a slave set Rx is ON) and transmission and reception of radio data are impossible, until the next time of transmission of the monitor data G acquired from the monitor data (Toff1, Toff2, Toff3). When start time (t13, t16) for reception of monitor data has come, the slave set is switched from the “standby state” to the “data receivable state” to receive the monitor data G.

摘要: A developing apparatus is equipped with a development casing, a development roller, and developer stirring shafts that rotate together with the development roller. In this developing apparatus, the developer stirring shafts are disposed adjacent to each other and are also disposed substantially in parallel with the development roller. Each developer stirring shaft has a rotational axis that rotates together with the development roller and has a plurality of stirring vanes of an approximately elliptic shape laid out at a predetermined angle with respect to the rotational axis. The rotational axis is provided substantially in parallel with the development roller. The stirring vanes are disposed substantially in parallel with each other, with the opposing stirring vanes between the adjacent developer stirring shafts having mutually different installation positions in the axial direction.

摘要: To provide a liquid crystal display device which is free from any adverse affect due to foreign matter attached to a polarizing plate, the liquid crystal display device is provided with a liquid crystal cell, a pair of transparent cover members mounted on outer surfaces of the liquid crystal cell, and polarizing plates attached to the transparent cover members. The polarizing plates are attached to the surfaces of the transparent cover members while ensuring a sufficient space from a liquid crystal layer of the liquid crystal cell. Therefore, in the case where a focal plane of an enlargement lens system is aligned with the liquid crystal layer, the polarizing plates are located out of a depth of focus of the lens system to thereby obviate the adverse affect due to the foreign matter attached to the polarizing plates. In some cases, it is possible to integrally form a microlens array with the transparent cover member in confront with and in alignment with a pixel array. It is also possible to provide a light-shielding layer to the transparent cover members for shielding a non-effective image field region of the liquid crystal cell.

摘要: The present invention provides an optical inspection method capable of detecting a finer defect in the surface of a substrate, including the steps of: irradiating a surface of a sample which is rotating and continuously moving in one direction with illumination light which is incident in a direction obliquely to the sample surface; detecting an image of light formed by a forward scattering light around an optical axis of regular-reflection light while excluding the regular-reflection light from the sample surface irradiated with the illumination light; condensing and detecting lateral scattering light which scatters laterally from the sample surface with respect to an incidence direction of the illumination light; and processing a signal obtained by detecting the image of light formed by the forward scattering light and a signal obtained by condensing and detecting the lateral scattering light to extract a defect including a scratch defect.
