Abstract:
The present invention provides an amine or polyamine, which has a surface activity not inferior to a solid tallow-based amine and an excellent workability. A salt of the amine is suited for emulsifying asphalt and the like, and also provides an asphalt emulsion composition which is obtained by using the salt and which has a quick setting property. Namely, the prevent invention provides a polyamine represented by the formula (1), a process for producing the amine, and an asphalt emulsion composition containing a water-soluble salt of the amine. wherein R is a straight or branched hydrocarbon group having 8 to 22 carbon atoms; x is a number of 1 to 5; and each of y and z is a number of 0 to 5 with the proviso that both of y and z are not 0 at the same time.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a process for easily producing an alkylene oxide adduct to an aliphatic amine compound which has a fully excellent color, is not turbid, and does not deteriorate in color even through long-term storage. That is, the present invention provides a process for producing an alkylene oxide adduct to a primary or secondary amine compound having an aliphatic, saturated or unsaturated, hydrocarbon radical having 8 to 22 carbon atoms, having an excellent color, by reacting an alkyene oxide to the amine compound, characterized by comprising the step of adding a base or an aqueous solution thereof to the amine compound and then heating the mixture.
Abstract:
The process frame body has the guide portion, and the development device has the to-be-guided shaft. When the process frame body is unattached to the apparatus main body, the guide portion of the development device is absent, thus preventing proper attachment and positioning of the development device. The convex engagement portion is formed integrally with the development device so as to jut into the attachment path for the process frame body. This prevents attachment of the process frame body when the development device is attached first. If users try to attach the process frame body after attachment of the development device, the convex engagement portion interferes with the process frame body, thus preventing attachment of the process frame body.
Abstract:
A thin film photoelectric converter including a transparent conductive layer, a laser light absorption layer, a back electrode layer, a semiconductor photoelectric conversion layer and a transparent electrode layer stacked on a translucent substrate. The laser light absorption layer is parted into regions by first kind parting line grooves, and the photoelectric conversion layer is parted into regions by third kind parting line grooves penetrating the laser light absorption layer, the rear surface electrode layer and the photoelectric conversion layer. The transparent electrode layer is parted into regions by fourth kind parting line grooves penetrating the laser light absorption layer, the rear surface electrode layer, the photoelectric conversion layer and the transparent electrode layer. A receiving side transparent electrode region of one cell is electrically connected to a back electrode region of adjacent cell through the first kind groove, the transparent conductive layer and the third kind groove.
Abstract:
A developing unit in which an electrostatic latent image is formed on a photoconductor with toners transported with carriers in a developer. The toners are supplied as needed from a toner hopper. The developing unit includes an agitation roller for agitating the toners supplied from the toner hopper with the developer, and a developer regulating member for regulating the amount of the developer transported along the circumferential surface of the agitation roller toward the area where the developer is agitated and mixed with the toners supplied from the toner hopper.
Abstract:
A state detection mechanism includes a movable member, a spring member, a fringe section, and a stopper member. The spring member displaces the movable member arranged at the first predetermined position to a second predetermined position by applying restoration force in a D direction to the movable member. The fringe section restricts the displacement by abutting to a protrusion member formed on the movable member arranged at the first predetermined position. The stopper member restricts rotation of the movable member, which rotates around an axis that extends in a D direction, by abutting to the protrusion member formed on the movable member arranged at the first predetermined position. When torque is transmitted to the movable member from a shaft, the movable member rotates around an axis that extends in the D direction, and the protrusion member and the stopper member abut to each other. Load caused by the torque is applied to a section of this abutment and destroys the protrusion member. With this arrangement, the state detection mechanism which allows for detection of a state of a replaceable member can prevent the occurrence of wrong detection.
Abstract:
A toner cartridge stored in a developer casing includes a biasing force generating device, an actuating rod that switches the biasing device between an active state and a non-active state by one movement of a release member. A developer casing swings by the movement of the actuating rod and presses a developing roller with appropriate pressure to a photosensitive drum. There is a lock member that is restrained from moving by the movement of the actuating rod. The structure recited is capable of inserting and fixing the developer casing to an image forming device. Also, by one restore movement of the release member, the photosensitive drum and the developing roller are separated and the lock is released, thereby enabling removal/exchange of the developer casing.
Abstract:
The process for producing an aliphatic nitrile comprising reacting an aliphatic alcohol having 6 to 40 carbon atoms with ammonia (a) in the presence of a copper/transition metal element in the fourth period other than Cr/platinum group element in the eighth group catalyst, (b) under a reaction system pressure in the range of from atmospheric pressure to 100 atm, (c) at a reaction system temperature in the range of from 100.degree. to 250.degree. C., (d) while introducing at least one gas selected from the group consisting of inert gases and hydrogen gas into the reaction system, (e) removing water formed by the reaction out of the reaction system, and (f) controlling the amount of the ammonia contained in the gas (exclusive of the water formed by the reaction) discharged out of the reaction system to 5 to 50% by volume based on the volume of the gas discharged (exclusive of the water formed by the reaction) makes it possible to produce various kinds of aliphatic nitriles.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an image forming apparatus such as a copying machine. In the image forming apparatus according to the present invention, a sealing member is interposed between a transparent platen on which an original is put and a frame member on which the transparent platen is mounted. Therefore, the sealing properties between the transparent platen and the frame member on which the transparent platen is mounted are improved, thereby to make it possible to prevent external air from entering the apparatus from a portion between the frame member and the transparent platen. As a result, it is possible to prevent image degradation and an increase in toner consumption.
