摘要: In an apparatus for measuring and dispensing pourable material, a removable cap includes a body, a cylindrical sleeve member sheathing an outer circumference of the body, and a biasing spring engageable between the body and the cylindrical sleeve member for biasing the cylindrical sleeve member toward a predetermined home position. The body can include chambers separated longitudinally from one another by a radial panel defining an arcuate aperture allowing passage of the pourable material between the chambers. The cylindrical sleeve member is rotatable with respect to the body for aligning at least one of a plurality of measuring compartments defined by the cylindrical sleeve member with the arcuate aperture for allowing pourable material flow therethrough. The biasing spring can close access to the plurality of measuring compartments during dispensing of a predetermined amount of the pourable material.

摘要: A set of generally rectangular fiber reinforced thermoplastic panels are combined by convolving selected ones thereof to form a generally longitudinal apex ridge that is then bonded to the underside of the other panel by application of heat. Preferably the convolved panels are of a planform that is smaller than the other panel, thus exposing an edge portion of the underside thereof on which an adhesive strip is deposited and covered by a removable cover. In use the adhesive strip is exposed and then adhered to the surface of a door sill or a step surface with the joined panels then providing a bridging surface allowing a wheelchair to cross the height differential.

摘要: A dust containment apparatus includes a tubular snorkel and dust bellows surrounding the implement of an air too, and a retention assembly housed within the snorkel that frictionally engages the implement to resist movement of the snorkel and bellows with respect to the implement. The retention assembly includes a set of friction members surrounding the radial periphery of the implement, and at least one resilient band that biases the friction members radially inward into pressing engagement with the implement. Preferably, the snorkel and friction members are constructed of non-magnetic material, and the friction members include permanent magnets that are magnetically attracted to the implement to augment the radially inward biasing of the resilient band.

摘要: An obstacle traversing wheel assembly can include at least one primary wheel member mounted with a primary axis of rotation and capable of rolling engagement with a supporting surface, and at least one secondary wheel member mounted with a secondary axis of rotation. The secondary wheel member can have a plurality of surface engaging protrusions which enable the wheel assembly to traverse an obstacle by imparting climbing movement to the primary wheel member in response to engagement with the obstacle. The surface engaging protrusions can be defined by rolling wheel members. The obstacle traversing wheel assembly can be incorporated on a wide variety of wheel-bearing devices, such as wheelchairs, personal transportation devices, and intravenous fluid support racks.
