    摘要: A system and method for estimating journey destinations is disclosed. The system comprises a conversion module, a frequency module, a metric module, a quality module and a summary module. The conversion module converts a set of driver history data to a set of learning parameters. The frequency module analyzes the set of learning parameters and current journey data to generate estimated journey data describing one or more potential journeys. The metric module analyzes the estimated journey data and the set of current status data to determine one or more metrics associated with the estimated journey data. The quality module determines one or more quality scores associated with the estimated journey data. The summary module determines one or more status summaries and one or more estimate summaries. The summary module associates the one or more status summaries and the one or more estimate summaries with the estimated journey data.

    摘要: A system and method for predicting driver behavior and generating control and/or warning signals comprises: one or more sensors; a database; a driver predictor for generating warning and control signals; a notification unit; and a vehicle control unit. More specifically, the driver predictor includes a transfer module, a hierarchical temporal memory and a prediction retrieval module. The transfer module is used to receive data and translate it into a form so that it can be stored in the hierarchical temporal memory. The hierarchical temporal memory receives data input and stores it such that data items are translated into short-term memory items which are in turn translated into intermediate-term data which in turn are finally translated into long-term data. The translation of data from one level of the memory to another is performed according to the present invention such that the data at each level of memory is reflective of and predictive of a particular driver behavior. Once the data is stored in the memory, the prediction retrieval module accesses the hierarchical temporal memory to generate warning signals to alert the driver of potentially dangerous conditions and/or control systems of the vehicle to prevent or avoid collisions. The present invention also includes a variety of method including a method for storing driving data in a hierarchical temporal memory, and a method for using a hierarchical temporal memory to generate collision avoidance signals.

    摘要: A simulator for inter-vehicle radio communication includes terrain and building data and can simulate the effects of buildings in terrain on radio propagation. The simulator also models other vehicles and the shadow effects of their presence. The system comprises a simulation engine, a network simulator, a driving simulator, a database and a user interface module adapted for communication. The simulation engine simulates the propagation of communication signals between vehicles including the effects of shadowing, and also receives data from the network simulator, the driving simulator and database to generate the propagation simulation. The simulation engine outputs the results of the propagation simulation to the user interface module which translates the information into various displays. The present invention is particularly advantageous because it provides a variety of different user interfaces to show the effective range/propagation of communication signals for different conditions including vehicle locations, terrain, vehicle movements, data traffic and networks configuration.
