摘要: A method and device parameterize a driving dynamics controller of a vehicle, which intervenes in a controlling manner in a driving dynamics of the vehicle. The driving dynamics controller ascertains an action depending on a vehicle state. The method includes providing a model for predicting a vehicle state. The model configured to predict a subsequent vehicle state depending on the vehicle state and the action. At least one data tuple is ascertained including a sequence of vehicle states and respectively associated actions. The vehicle states are ascertained by the driving dynamics controller using the model depending on an ascertained action. The parameters of the driving dynamics controller are changed/adjusted such that a cost function which ascertains costs of the trajectory depending on the vehicle states and on the ascertained actions of the respectively associated vehicle states and is dependent on the parameters of the driving dynamics controller is minimized.

摘要: The present technology relates to a vehicle control apparatus and a vehicle control method that allow safer automated driving. The vehicle control apparatus includes a driver monitoring section and a penalty application section. The driver monitoring section detects a driving intervention level indicating an extent to which the driver intervenes in driving of a vehicle. The penalty application section applies a penalty disadvantageous to the driver in the case where the driving intervention level is insufficient. The present technology is applicable, for example, to a vehicle control apparatus that controls automated driving.

摘要: Methods and systems for monitoring use, determining risk, and pricing insurance policies for a vehicle having one or more autonomous or semi-autonomous operation features are provided. According to certain aspects, an identity of a vehicle operator may be determined and a vehicle operator profile and/or operating data regarding autonomous operation features of the vehicle may be received after the vehicle operator opts into a rewards program and agrees to share their data. Autonomous operation and vehicle operator risk levels associated with operation of the autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle may be determined. Based upon the risk levels and/or comparison thereof, one or more autonomous operation features may he disengaged. A preparedness level of the vehicle operator to assume or reassume control of operating the vehicle is determined prior to disengagement. If satisfactory, an alert is presented to the vehicle operator prior to disengagement of the autonomous operation features.

According to certain aspects, the operating status of the features, the identity of a vehicle operator, risk levels for operation of the vehicle by the vehicle operator, or damage to the vehicle may be determined based upon sensor or other data. According to further aspects, decisions regarding transferring control between the features and the vehicle operator may be made based upon sensor data and information regarding the vehicle operator. Additional aspects may recommend or install updates to the autonomous operation features based upon determined risk levels. Some aspects may include monitoring transportation infrastructure and communicating information about the infrastructure to vehicles.

The ground working vehicle may accept the specific value by, for example, automatically adjusting, prompting the operator, notifying the operator, disengaging the vehicle if the current value is not within the specific value, etc.

摘要: Systems and methods of electrically heating catalyst (EHC) driver notification are provided. With the goal of increasing driver cooperation in reducing emissions, EHC driver notification systems notify the driver when the EHC is in an inefficient operation state. This notification is provided to the driver so that the driver may consciously operate the vehicle in a fashion that reduces emissions while the EHC is in the inefficient operation state. EHC driver notifications systems may also restrict operation of the vehicle when the EHC is in an inefficient operation state. However, for safety reasons, these systems provide the driver a function to bypass the restriction as needed.

摘要: A vehicle includes an ADK attachable to and removable from a vehicle main body, the ADK issuing an instruction for autonomous driving, a VP including a plurality of functional units that perform a plurality of prescribed functions of the vehicle main body, and a VCIB that issues a control instruction to the functional units in accordance with an instruction from the ADK. One of the plurality of functional units is a steering system that steers the vehicle main body. The steering system specifies a limit value of a steering rate in accordance with a prescribed reference and transmits the specified limit value to the ADK through the VCIB. The ADK calculates a target steering angle to satisfy the limit value received from the steering system and transmits an instruction for the calculated steering angle to the steering system through the VCIB.

摘要: According to certain aspects, a computer-implemented method for operating an autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle may be provided. With the customer's permission, an identity of a vehicle operator may be identified and a vehicle operator profile may be retrieved. Operating data regarding autonomous operation features operating the vehicle may be received from vehicle-mounted sensors. When a request to disable an autonomous feature is received, a risk level for the autonomous feature is determined and compared with a driver behavior setting for the autonomous feature stored in the vehicle operator profile. Based upon the risk level comparison, the autonomous vehicle retains control of vehicle or the autonomous feature is disengaged depending upon which is the safer driver—the autonomous vehicle or the vehicle human occupant. As a result, unsafe disengagement of self-driving functionality for autonomous vehicles may be alleviated. Insurance discounts may be provided for autonomous vehicles having this safety functionality.

摘要: Apparatuses, storage media and methods associated with computer assisted driving (CAD), are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, an apparatus includes an autopilot engine to automatically pilot the vehicle out of a potential emergency situation, including to automatically pilot the vehicle for a period of time in view of a plurality of operational guardrails determined in real time for each of a plurality of timing windows; and a mitigation unit to conditionally activate the autopilot engine, including to activate the autopilot engine in response to analysis results indicative of the vehicle being potentially operated into the emergency situation manually. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
