摘要： A rotation hinge apparatus of a portable terminal including a body housing, a folder including a liquid crystal display section and rotated in the body housing about first and second axes, and a connection member rotatably connecting the folder about the first and second hinge axes includes a base member; a rotation member; first and second guide pins provided in the rotation member; first and second guide sections provided in the base member. The first and second guide sections engage the first and second guide pins to place the liquid crystal display section of the folder at the center of the connection member by guiding linear movement of the first guide pin when the rotation member is rotated about the second hinge axis, and by moving the second guide pin, guiding and moving the second hinge axis in an inclined manner and then in a curved manner.

摘要： A sliding module for a slide-type portable communication apparatus including a main body and a sliding body which slides on the main body along a sliding distance provided from a start position to an end position. The sliding module includes a fixed plate engaged with the main body, a moving plate being engaged with the sliding body and sliding along the sliding distance. A sliding module is provided between the fixed plate and the moving plate and provides a dead point position between the start position and a center position of the sliding distance, or closer to the start position to slide the moving plate. The dead position prevents the accidental closing of the sliding body and loss of communication if a user's hand slips during the opening of the sliding body to expose a portion of the main body.

摘要： A swing hinge module bidirectionally swinging a movable body and a portable terminal having the same are disclosed. The swing hinge module includes a rotation cam, a rotation shaft, a fixed plate, and a guide pin. The rotation cam is fixed to the movable body to be rotated with the movable body, and has stopping recesses on an outer circumference of the rotation cam to set a rotation angle of the movable body. The rotation shaft is coupled with a central area of the rotation cam, and the fixed plate is coupled to the fixed body and has a guide hole to receive the rotation shaft. The guide pin is coupled to the fixed plate and contacts the outer circumference of the rotation cam to support the rotation cam.

摘要： A slide opening/closing type mobile device includes a body section including a guide section that has a pair of long holes and is configured so that an interval between the pair of long holes becomes smaller at first, as it goes from one ends towards the other ends of the long holes, and then, becomes larger based on certain starting points; a slider provided with guide rollers movably inserted in the pair of long holes of the guide section in a state of being elastically biased to the outside; a rotation plate rotatably mounted on the slider; and a display section mounted on the rotation plate. The display section is slidable upward and downward with respect to the body section by the slider, and rotates at a predetermined angle by the rotation plate.

The portable terminal includes a first housing having a face in which a mounting unit is formed and a second housing combined with the mounting unit in order to rotate while facing the first housing, in which upon 90° clockwise or counterclockwise rotation of the second housing disposed in the longitudinal direction of the first housing, one of two side faces of the second housing closely contacts a sidewall of the mounting unit and a lower cross-section of the second housing is as aligned with one of two side faces of the first housing. In the portable terminal, the display device from its longitudinal position can be rotated clockwise or counterclockwise and the shapes of the housings are maintained rectangular, thereby sufficiently securing the size of the display device.

摘要： An apparatus and method for recovering abnormal control cells in an asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) exchange subscriber unit. A signal cell or control cell is transmitted and a plurality of reception first-in first-out memories (FIFOs) are sequentially checked to determine whether a new cell has arrived. If there is no start of cell (SOC) signal in an initial byte of a current cell under the condition that a cell synchronization loss signal is present in the current cell, or if the SOC signal is detected during transfer of the current cell, the current cell is determined to be abnormal. If the cell synchronization loss signal is abnormal, the current cell is discarded and an associated FIFO is fully emptied to recover cell synchronization. According to the invention, an internal control cell having a command to be transferred to an ATM exchange subscriber interface, and subscriber interface state information to be reported to a controller, and a signal cell for call control between ATM exchanges are recovered rapidly and effectively when being abnormally transferred to the subscriber interface. Therefore, the subscriber interface can fundamentally be prevented from being erroneously operated and falling into an operation disable state, thereby enhancing stability of the subscriber unit.
